Abstract
Systems and methods for detecting presence of a thing, the thing treated with a descenter, one method including in an area in which it is possible that a thing treated with a descenter is present, using a detector to detect a descenter level in the area, producing a detected descenter level, comparing the detected descenter level to a normal descenter level for the area, determining that the detected descenter level is different from the normal descenter level, said determining indicating the possible presence of a thing treated with a descenter; and using a trained service animal to facilitate such a method.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system for detecting descenter, comprising:
a detector configured to detect a level of an oxidizing gas in a space, the detector being formed a material that absorbs the oxidizing gas, the material being configured to change color to indicate a presence of oxidizing gas in the space.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the detector exhibits a first color when the oxidizing gas is not present in the space and exhibits a second color when the oxidizing gas is present in the space.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein a color of the detector changes from the first color to the second color based at least in part on the oxidizing gas being introduced to the space.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein a color of the detector changes from the second color to the first color based at least in part on the oxidizing gas exiting from the space.
5 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
an instrument to determine whether the oxidizing gas is present based at least in a on the color of the detector.
6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprises:
an oxidizing gas generator configured to discharge the oxidizing gas into the space.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the oxidizing gas is ozone a detector is configured to identify a presence of ozone in the space.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the detector may be integrated with a bag, a container, a cooler, a backpack, a wrap, a blanket, a cloth, or combinations thereof.
9 . A method for detecting descenter, comprising:
absorbing an oxidizing gas present in an environment of a space by an absorbing material of a detector; altering a color of the absorbing material of the detector from a first color indicating an absence of the oxidizing gas to a second color indicating a presence of the oxidizing gas based at least in part on absorbing the oxidizing gas; reducing an amount of the oxidizing gas absorbed by the absorbing material of the detector; and altering the color of the absorbing material of the detector from the second color to the first color based at least in part on reducing an amount of the oxidizing gas.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
identifying, by an instrument, the color of the absorbing material of the detector.
11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
determining to add additional oxidizing gas to the space based at least in part on the color of the absorbing material of the detector.
12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:
adding oxidizing gas to the space based at least in on the determination.
13 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
determining to replace the absorbing material of the detector based at least in part on the color of the absorbing material of the detector.
14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
replacing the absorbing material with a second absorbing material based at least in on the determination.
15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein altering the color of the absorbing material of the detector from the second color to the first color occurs after a time period has elapsed.Cited by (0)
