Abstract

A footbed system for footwear comprises an insole mechanism, a midsole mechanism, wherein the insole mechanism is positioned on the midsole mechanism, and the outsole mechanism is positioned under the midsole mechanism. The insole mechanism comprises a footbed insole, a heel pad and a forefoot pad. The footbed insole comprises a pad anatomically shaped to correspond to the sole of a human foot, wherein the heel pad is positioned in the hindfoot portion of the footbed insole, and the forefoot pad is positioned in the forefoot portion of the footbed insole. The outsole mechanism comprises an opening for exposing a natural gait line groove of the midsole mechanism.

12 . The footbed system of claim 11 , wherein the forefoot pad provides foot stability while standing and walking.

13 . The footbed system of claim 11 , wherein the forefoot pad provides active core stability in static and dynamic phase.

14 . The footbed system of claim 11 , wherein a bottom edge of the forefoot pad extends from the inner edge along the contour of the medial side of the footwear toward the heel area, back toward the toe area proximate a centerline of the footwear, and toward the arch area at the outer edge along the contour of the lateral side of the footwear.

15 . The footbed system of claim 14 , wherein a top edge of the forefoot pad extends from the inner edge along the contour of the medial side of the footwear and toward the arch area at the outer edge along the contour of the lateral side of the footwear.

16 . A footbed system for footwear, the footbed system comprising:
an insole mechanism comprising a forefoot pad and a lift support; a midsole mechanism, wherein the insole mechanism is positioned on the midsole mechanism; and a plurality of support pads positioned on the midsole mechanism; wherein the forefoot pad is positioned between a toe area and an arch area of the footwear, wherein the forefoot pad comprises a flexible elongated bed, an inner edge extending along a contour of a medial side of the footwear, and an outer edge extending along a contour of a lateral side of the footwear, and wherein the forefoot pad narrows from the inner edge to the outer edge; and wherein the lift support is an extension of the forefoot pad.

17 . The footbed system of claim 16 , wherein the lift support is an arcuate extension of the forefoot pad proximate the toe area of the footwear at the inner edge of the forefoot pad.

18 . The footbed system of claim 16 , wherein the midsole mechanism comprises a flexible elongated pad.

19 . The footbed system of claim 16 , further comprising:
a padding layer positioned on the midsole mechanism between the midsole mechanism and the insole mechanism, wherein the padding layer comprises a plurality of cutouts, and wherein the plurality of support pads are disposed in the plurality of cutouts.

20 . The footbed system of claim 16 , wherein the insole mechanism further comprises a footbed insole.

21 . The footbed system of claim 20 , wherein the footbed insole includes an opening sized to fit the forefoot pad.

22 . The footbed system of claim 21 , further comprising an outsole mechanism positioned under the midsole mechanism.

23 . The footbed system of claim 20 , wherein the plurality of support pads comprise:
a first support pad positioned proximal a medial side of the footbed insole in the heel area; a second support pad positioned proximal the medial side of the footbed insole between the toe area and the arch area; and a third support pad positioned proximal a lateral side of the footbed insole between the toe area and the arch area.

24 . The footbed system of claim 20 , wherein the insole mechanism further comprises a heel pad, wherein the heel pad is positioned in the heel area on the footbed insole, and wherein the heel pad has a substantially tri-oval shape.
