Abstract

Techniques for managing discussion sharing on a mobile platform, comprising a power application. The power application may include, among other components, a power monitoring component to monitor at least one component and/or at least one application of a mobile device to determine device profile information, and a power management component to provide the determined device profile information of a mobile device to a server device and receive predicted information representative of forecasted power utilization of the mobile device and/or context sensitive recommendation information representative of one or more context sensitive recommendations for the mobile device.

1 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
 monitoring one or more of a component or an application of a mobile device to determine device profile information of a mobile device;   transmitting the determined device profile information to a server device; and   receiving predicted information representative of one or more of forecasted power utilization of the mobile device or context sensitive recommendation information representative of one or more context sensitive recommendations for the mobile device, wherein the predicted information or the context sensitive recommendation information is determined based at least partially on the device profile information of the mobile device.   
     
     
         2 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the device profile information further comprises one or more of device application information, device component information, device event information, or device location information, and the predicted information further comprises predicted context information, and predicted power event information. 
     
     
         3 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the predicted information comprises predicted power curve information generated based at least partially on one or more of future power curve information, past power curve information, or analytics power curve information. 
     
     
         4 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 3 , wherein the future power curve information is generated based at least partially on a corresponding future location context information representing one or more of scheduled locations associated with the mobile device or corresponding future event context information representative of future event contexts that identify at least one scheduled device event. 
     
     
         5 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 presenting context sensitive recommendation information representative of at least one context sensitive recommendation on a display screen of the mobile device, the at least one context sensitive recommendation comprising a first context sensitive recommendation for reducing power utilization of the mobile device based at least partially on one or more of a corresponding analytics context or a future context.   
     
     
         6 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 5 , wherein the at least one context sensitive recommendation comprises one or more of a context sensitive application recommendation, a context sensitive component recommendation, or a context sensitive power recommendation. 
     
     
         7 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 1 , wherein the device profile information is provided to the server device on a predefined interval. 
     
     
         8 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
 monitor one or more of a component or an application of a mobile device to determine device profile information of a mobile device;   transmit the determined device profile information to a server device; and   receive predicted information representative of one or more of forecasted power utilization of the mobile device or context sensitive recommendation information representative of one or more context sensitive recommendations for the mobile device, wherein the predicted information or the context sensitive recommendation information is determined based at least partially on the device profile information of the mobile device.   
     
     
         9 . The medium of  claim 8 , wherein the device profile information further comprises one or more of device application information, device component information, device event information, or device location information, and the predicted information further comprises predicted context information, and predicted power event information. 
     
     
         10 . The medium of  claim 8 , wherein the predicted information comprises predicted power curve information generated based at least partially on one or more of future power curve information, past power curve information, or analytics power curve information. 
     
     
         11 . The medium of  claim 10 , wherein the future power curve information is generated based at least partially on a corresponding future location context information representing one or more of scheduled locations associated with the mobile device or corresponding future event context information representative of future event contexts that identify at least one scheduled device event. 
     
     
         12 . The medium of  claim 8 , further storing instructions for: presenting context sensitive recommendation information representative of at least one context sensitive recommendation on a display screen of the mobile device, the at least one context sensitive recommendation comprising a first context sensitive recommendation for reducing power utilization of the mobile device based at least partially on one or more of a corresponding analytics context or a future context. 
     
     
         13 . The medium of  claim 12 , wherein the at least one context sensitive recommendation comprises one or more of a context sensitive application recommendation, a context sensitive component recommendation, or a context sensitive power recommendation. 
     
     
         14 . An apparatus, comprising:
 a processor circuit;   memory operatively coupled to the processor circuit, the memory to store a mobile power application for execution by the processor circuit, the mobile power application comprising a power monitoring component to monitor one or more of a component or an application of a mobile device to determine device profile information of a mobile device;   a power management component configured to provide the determined device profile information to a server device and receive predicted information representative of one or more of forecasted power utilization of the mobile device or context sensitive recommendation information representative of one or more context sensitive recommendations for the mobile device, wherein the predicted information or the context sensitive recommendation information is determined based at least partially on the device profile information of the mobile device.   
     
     
         15 . The apparatus for  claim 14 , wherein the device profile information further comprises one or more of device application information, device component information, device event information, or device location information, and the predicted information comprises predicted context information, and predicted power event information. 
     
     
         16 . The computer-implemented method of  claim 14 , wherein the predicted information comprises predicted power curve information generated based at least partially on one or more of past power curve information or analytics power curve information. 
     
     
         17 . The apparatus for  claim 14 , wherein the predicted information comprises future power curve information generated based at least partially on device application event information. 
     
     
         18 . The apparatus for  claim 14 , wherein the predicted information comprises future power curve information generated based at least partially on analytics model information for other mobile devices, and the application has not been previously executed by the mobile device. 
     
     
         19 . The apparatus of  claim 18 , wherein the mobile device is associated with a user, and the processor circuit is configured to socially connect the user to other users of a social networking system based at least partially on user profile information associated with the user and the other users. 
     
     
         20 . The apparatus of  claim 14 , further comprising a display configured to present, visually, context sensitive recommendation information representative of at least one context sensitive recommendation, the at least one context sensitive recommendation comprising a recommendation for reducing power utilization of the mobile device based at least partially on one or more of a corresponding analytics context or future context.
