Abstract
A bag can include walls formed of a material having multiple layers, which can include a paper layer located between an outer layer and an inner layer. The outer layer can be formed from a nylon material and the inner layer can be formed from a polyolefin material, and the bag can exhibit grease-resistant properties. The bag can be formed into a variety of configurations, such as a sewn-open-mouth configuration in which a stitching element extends through a wall of the bag or a variety of pinch-type closure configurations.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 36 . (canceled)
37 . A bag comprising:
a tube formed of a body material, wherein the body material has an exterior surface and an interior surface, wherein the body material comprises:
a paper layer, wherein the paper layer has an outwardly facing surface and an inwardly facing surface, wherein the paper layer comprises an extensible paper;
a polyamide layer having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the polyamide layer defines an outermost layer of the bag, and wherein the inner surface of the polyamide layer is adhered to the outwardly facing surface of the paper layer; and
a polyolefin layer having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface is adhered to the inwardly facing surface of the paper layer,
wherein a first end of the tube is closed so as to substantially prevent grease from entering or exiting the tube via the first end.
38 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the paper layer defines a thickness within a range of from about 20 percent to about 80 percent of a total thickness of the body material.
39 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the paper layer has a basis weight of within a range of from about 30 pounds per ream to about 80 pounds per ream and defines a thickness in a range of from about 3.3 mil to about 3.7 mil.
40 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyamide layer comprises cast nylon.
41 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyamide layer defines a thickness within a range of from about 10 percent to about 40 percent of a total thickness of the body material.
42 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyamide layer is reverse printed.
43 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyolefin layer comprises biaxially oriented polypropylene.
44 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyolefin layer defines a thickness within a range of from about 10 percent to about 50 percent of a total thickness of the body material.
45 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyamide layer is adhered to the paper layer via a polyurethane-based single-component solventless adhesive.
46 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the polyolefin layer is adhered to the paper layer via a water-based adhesive.
47 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the tube comprises a first wall and a second wall opposite the first wall, wherein the first wall comprises a flap that is folded over and adhered to the second wall in a pinch fold closure.
48 . The bag of claim 47 , wherein the flap is adhered to the second wall via a hot melt adhesive.
49 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the tube comprises a first wall and a second wall that each define approximately the same longitudinal length, wherein the polyolefin layer comprises a heat sealable material, and wherein the first end of the tube is closed via a heat sealed pinch closure.
50 . The bag of claim 37 , wherein the interior surface of the tube comprises the inner surface of the polyolefin layer.
51 . A bag comprising:
a tube formed of a body material, wherein the body material has an exterior surface and an interior surface, wherein the body material comprises:
a polyamide layer, wherein the polyamide layer has an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the polyamide layer defines an outermost layer of the bag;
a first paper layer having an inwardly facing surface and an outwardly facing surface, wherein the outwardly facing surface of the first paper layer is adhered to the inner surface of the polyamide layer;
a second paper layer having an inwardly facing surface and an outwardly facing surface, wherein the outwardly facing surface of the second paper layer is adhered to an inwardly facing surface of the first paper layer, wherein at least one of the first and second paper layers comprises an extensible paper; and
a polyolefin layer having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the outer surface is adhered to the inwardly facing surface of the second paper layer,
wherein a first end of the tube is closed so as to substantially prevent grease from entering or exiting the tube via the first end.
52 . The bag of claim 51 , wherein the polyamide layer comprises cast nylon.
53 . The bag of claim 51 , wherein the polyolefin layer comprises biaxially oriented polypropylene.
54 . A bag comprising:
a tubular bag body comprising an inner ply and an outer ply, wherein the tubular bag body has an exterior surface and an interior surface, wherein the tubular bag body has a pair of opposing bag ends, wherein an inner face of the outer ply is adhered to an outer face of the inner ply, wherein the outer ply comprises an outwardly facing polyamide film and a paper layer, wherein the paper layer comprises a sheet of extensible paper, and wherein the inner ply comprises a grease-resistant material.
55 . The bag of claim 54 , wherein the grease-resistant material comprises a polyolefin.
56 . The bag of claim 54 , wherein a first end of the tubular bag body is closed so as to substantially prevent grease from entering or exiting the tubular bag body via the first end.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
