Abstract

A system, topology, and methods for providing power or data to electronic devices are described generally herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. The system may include an internal power source, charging module, modem, and an external power coupling module.

         21 . A power supply comprising:
 a first connector configured to at least receive electrical energy;   a second connector configure to at least output electrical energy;   a battery disposed within a housing of the power supply;   a first circuitry configured to at least charge the battery, the first circuitry operatively coupled to the first connector and the battery; and   a second circuitry configured to at least transform alternating current from received at the first connector to direct current for storing in the battery.   
     
     
         22 . The power supply of  claim 21 , further comprising:
 a third circuitry configured to at least provide, from the battery and to the second connector, electrical energy as a function of electrical energy received through the first connector, the third circuitry operatively connected to the first connector, second connector, and the battery.   
     
     
         23 . The power supply of  claim 21 , further comprising an indicator, the indicator configured to provide an indication of an electrical energy level of the battery. 
     
     
         24 . The power supply of  claim 23 , wherein the indicator comprises at least one light emitting diode. 
     
     
         25 . The power supply of  claim 21 , wherein the third circuitry is configured to at least provide, from the battery and to the second connector, electrical energy in response to a determination that the electrical energy provided through the first connector is below a predetermined threshold. 
     
     
         26 . The power supply of  claim 21 , wherein the second connector comprises a universal serial bus interface. 
     
     
         27 . The power supply of  claim 21 , wherein the first connector has a first position where at least a portion of the first connector extends out of a housing of the power supply and wherein the first connector has a second position where the at least the portion of the first connector is retracted into the housing of the power supply. 
     
     
         28 . The power supply of  claim 27 , wherein the at least the portion of the first connector is configured to rotate. 
     
     
         29 . The power supply of  claim 21 , wherein the second connector has a first position where at least a portion of the second connector extends out of a housing of the power supply and wherein the second connector has a second position where the at least the portion of the second connector is retracted into the housing of the power supply. 
     
     
         30 . The power supply of  claim 29 , wherein the housing of the power supply includes a recess configured to at least receive the at least the portion of the second connector. 
     
     
         31 . The power supply of  claim 21 , wherein the battery is removable from a housing of the power supply.
