Abstract

An eco-system for tracking a user's physiological parameters comprises a central sensor and at least one remote sensor in wireless communication with the central sensor, a portable device readily accessible to the user, and a cloud platform. Each sensor may be worn by the user and measure data indicative of one or more of the physiological parameters. The central sensor may receive and process the measured data from each remote sensor and processes its own measured data. The portable device comprises a receiver wirelessly receiving the processed data and instructions from the central sensor; a processor running a mobile application handling the processed data and instructions; and a transmitter transmitting the processed data. The cloud platform receives the processed data from the transmitter; analyzes the received processed data; and transmits the results of the analysis to at least one of the portable device and an authorized healthcare entity.

What is claimed is:

         1 . An eco-system for tracking a user's physiological parameters, the eco-system comprising:
 a central sensor and at least one remote sensor in wireless communication with the central sensor, each sensor being configured to be worn by the user and to measure data indicative of one or more physiological parameters of the user, wherein the central sensor is configured to receive and process the measured data from each of the remote sensors and to process data measured by the central sensor; a portable device readily accessible to the user, the portable device comprising:
 a receiver configured to wirelessly receive the processed data and instructions from the central sensor;
 a processor running a mobile application handling the processed data and instructions; and
 a transmitter configured to transmit the processed data; and
 a cloud platform configured to:
 receive the processed data from the transmitter;
 analyze the received processed data; and
 transmit the results of the analysis to at least one of the portable device and an authorized healthcare entity.

         2 . The eco-system of claim 1 , wherein the portable device additionally comprises a display screen configured to display alert notifications generated by the central device and transmitted to the portable device in response to the processing of the measured data.

         3 . The eco-system of claim 2 , wherein the display screen is configured to display at least some of the results of the analysis performed at the cloud platform.

         4 . The eco-system of claim 1 wherein in response to the analysis of received processed data, the cloud platform is configured to transmit instructions to the portable device regarding future data measurements, the portable device transmitting those instructions in turn to the central sensor, and the central sensor transmitting appropriate ones of those instructions to a corresponding remote sensor.

         5 . The eco-system of claim 1 , additionally comprising an authorized healthcare entity, communicatively coupled to the transmitter of the portable device to receive at least a portion of the processed data therefrom.

         6 . The eco-system of claim 5 , wherein the authorized healthcare entity instigates provision of emergency care to the user if emergency care is warranted by the processed data transmitted by the portable device to the authorized healthcare entity.

         7 . A method of tracking a user's physiological parameters; the method comprising:
 providing the user with a central sensor and at least one remote sensor in wireless communication with the central sensor, each sensor configured to be worn by the user and to measure data indicative of one or more physiological parameters of the user, wherein the central sensor is configured to receive and process the measured data from each of the remote sensors and to process measured data from the central sensor; providing the user with a mobile application, configured to run on a portable device readily accessible to the user; and establishing a cloud platform configured to receive the processed data wirelessly transmitted from the portable device under the control of the mobile application, to analyze the received processed data, and to wirelessly transmit the results of the analysis to at least one of the portable device and an authorized healthcare entity.

         8 . The method of claim 7 , additionally comprising enabling the user to create and maintain a personal profile at a secure website.

         9 . The method of claim 7 additionally comprising displaying on a display screen of the portable device, under the control of the mobile application, alert notifications generated by the central sensor and transmitted to the portable device in response to the processing of the measured data.

         10 . The method of claim 7 additionally comprising displaying on a display screen of the portable device, under the control of the mobile application, at least some of the results of the analysis performed at the cloud platform.

         11 . The method of claim 7 additionally comprising:
 wirelessly transmitting instructions from the cloud platform to the portable device regarding future data measurements;
 wirelessly transmitting the instruction from the portable device transmitting to the central sensor; and
 wirelessly transmitting appropriate ones of the instructions from the central to a corresponding remote sensor.

         12 . The method of claim 7 , additionally comprising establishing a communication link between the portable device and an authorized healthcare entity, such that the portable device transmits at least a portion of the processed data to the authorized healthcare entity.

         13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the authorized healthcare entity instigates provision of emergency care to the user if emergency care is warranted by the processed data transmitted by the portable device to the authorized healthcare entity.
