Abstract

A virtual warehouse system may determine a product code associated with a request for an item generated by a user device. The system may search for the requested item with a virtual warehouse database based on the determined product code. The system may identify a lead inventory associated with the requested item based on searching for the requested item with the virtual warehouse database, where the lead inventory is out of stock of the requested item. The system may identify one or more stocked inventories with one or more stocked items that correspond with the requested item based on the search, where the one or more stocked items is identified without the one or more stocked items corresponding to the determined product code. The system may cause the user device to display one or more notifications associated with the one or more stocked inventories.

determining, based on the virtual warehouse database, at least one stocked inventory from the one or more stocked inventories able to deliver the one or more stocked items from a location associated with the at least one stocked inventory to a location associated with the user device; and tracking compensation in the virtual warehouse database for each segment of a distance the one or more stocked items travel from the location of the at least one stocked inventory to the location associated with the user device.

8 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:
determining a request for an item generated by a user device; searching for the requested item with a virtual warehouse database based at least on a plurality of policy preferences associated with the request for the item; identifying a first inventory associated with the requested item based at least on the plurality of policy of preferences, wherein the first inventory is out of stock of the requested item; identifying one or more stocked inventories that correspond with the identified first inventory based at least on the virtual warehouse database, wherein the one or more stocked inventories is able to provide the requested item; and causing the user device to display one or more notifications associated with the one or more stocked inventories.

         9 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:
determining from the virtual warehouse database a respective marketplace network of each stocked inventory from the one or more stocked inventories, wherein the respective marketplace networks correspond with the plurality of policy preferences, wherein the one or more stocked inventories is identified based at least on the respective marketplace networks associated with the one or more stocked inventories.

         10 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:
determining from the virtual warehouse database a respective bid from each of the one or more stocked inventories, wherein the respective bids are based at least on the one or more stocked inventories able to deliver the requested item from the one or more stocked inventories to a location associated with the user device; identifying at least one stocked inventory from the one or more stocked inventories to deliver the requested item to the location associated with the user device based at least on the respective bid from the at least one stocked inventory.
