Claims

Abstract

An electronic device according to the present application includes a display and a controller configured to determine a user's gaze position in a display area of the display based on user's gaze movement. In a state where a first image as an object is displayed in the display area, the controller is configured to hide the first image as the object when the gaze position separates from an area of the first image by a predetermined distance in a direction away from the first image as the object.

1 . An electronic device comprising:
 a display; and   a controller configured to determine a user's gaze position in a display area of the display, wherein   
       in a state where a first image is displayed in the display area,
 the controller is configured to hide the first image when the gaze position separates from an area of the first image by a predetermined distance in a direction away from the first image. 
 
     
     
         2 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the controller is configured to display the first image on a first direction side in the display area when the gaze position moves in the first direction.   
     
     
         3 . The electronic device according to  claim 2 , wherein
 the controller is configured to hide the first image after elapse of a predetermined period of time since the display of the first image.   
     
     
         4 . An electronic device comprising:
 a display including a first display area and a second display area; and   a controller configured to determine a user's gaze position in the display, wherein   
       in a state where a first image is displayed in the second display area,
 the controller is configured to hide the first image when the gaze position separates from the second display area by a predetermined distance. 
 
     
     
         5 . The electronic device according to  claim 4 , wherein
 the controller is configured to display the first image in the second display area when the gaze position moves from the first display area to the second display area.   
     
     
         6 . The electronic device according to  claim 5 , wherein
 the controller is configured to hide the first image after elapse of a predetermined period of time since the display of the first image.   
     
     
         7 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the controller is configured to display a second image related to the first image in an area other than the area of the first image in the display area.   
     
     
         8 . The electronic device according to  claim 7 , wherein
 the predetermined distance is set based on a size of the second image.   
     
     
         9 . The electronic device according to  claim 8 , wherein
 the predetermined distance is changed according to a display content displayed as the second image.   
     
     
         10 . The electronic device according to  claim 9 , wherein
 the predetermined distance is set longer when the display content contains character information at a predetermined ratio or more in comparison with a case where the display content contains character information less than the predetermined ratio.   
     
     
         11 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the predetermined distance is settable by the user.   
     
     
         12 . The electronic device according to  claim 2 , wherein
 the controller is configured to display a second image related to the first image in an area other than the area of the first image in the display area, and change a display content of the second image when the gaze position moves in a direction crossing the first direction in the area of the first image.   
     
     
         13 . An electronic device comprising:
 a display; and   a controller configured to determine a user's gaze position in a display area of the display, wherein   the controller is configured to set a first range and a second range that includes the first range in the display area, the second range being larger than the first range, and   hide the first image when the gaze position moves to an outside of the second range while the first image is displayed in the first range.   
     
     
         14 . The electronic device according to  claim 13 , wherein
 the controller is configured to display the first image in the first range when the gaze position moves from outside of the first range to inside of the first range.   
     
     
         15 . An electronic device comprising:
 a display; and   a controller configured to determine a user's gaze position in a display area of the display, wherein,   the controller is configured to display a first image on a first direction side in the display area when the gaze position moves in the first direction by a first distance, and hide the first image when the gaze position moves in a second direction opposite to the first direction by a second distance while the first image is displayed, the second distance being longer than the first distance.   
     
     
         16 . The electronic device according to  claim 14 , wherein
 the controller is configured to hide the first image after elapse of a predetermined period of time since the display of the first image.   
     
     
         17 . An electronic device comprising:
 a display configured to display a first image; and   a controller configured to determine a user's gaze position in a display area of the display, wherein   
       when a ratio of an area of the first image to the display area is less than a predetermined value,
 the controller is configured to hide the first image when the gaze position separates from the area of the first image by a predetermined distance. 
 
     
     
         18 . The electronic device according to  claim 17 , wherein, when the ratio of the area of the first image to the display area is the predetermined value or more,
 the controller is configured to hide the first image when the gaze position moves from inside of the area to outside of the area of the first range.   
     
     
         19 . The electronic device according to  claim 18 , wherein
 the case where the ratio of the area of the first image to the display area of the display is the predetermined value or more is a case where the ratio of the area of the first image to the display area of the display is equal to or larger than 50% and the area includes a central region of the display area.   
     
     
         20 . The electronic device according to  claim 17 , wherein
 the controller is configured to display the first image on a predetermined direction side in the display area when the gaze position moves in the predetermined direction.   
     
     
         21 . The electronic device according to  claim 20 , wherein
 the controller is configured to hide the first image after elapse of a predetermined period of time since the display of the first image.
