Abstract

The present invention includes a cartridge and system utilizing the cartridge that cools a computer. The cartridge first within a server stand and urges forced fluid into the computer.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A server rack stand portion comprising:
a vertical support post having a computer support surface, and having a post height and an interior cavity; wherein said post includes multiple slots accessible from a direction other than said computer support surface; a master airflow conduit adapted to urge fluid from into said interior cavity from beyond said interior cavity; and at least one cartridge, releasably affixable to said slots, having cartridge height less than half of said post height and defining a first opening, upon affixation to said slot, in fluid communication with said interior cavity.

2 . The stand portion of claim 1 further comprising a flexible server conduit adapted to sealingly redirect gas from said first opening toward said computer support surface.

3 . The stand portion of claim 1 comprising multiple blanks dimensionally equivalent to said cartridges having a sealed lateral surface.

4 . The stand portion of claim 3 wherein said cartridge and said support post includes a mating slide rail attachment portion.

5 . The stand portion of claim 1 wherein said cartridge includes a cartridge height approximately equal to a computer to which said server conduit connects said cartridge.

6 . The stand portion of claim 5 comprising multiple blanks dimensionally equivalent to said cartridges having a sealed lateral surface.

7 . The stand portion of claim 1 wherein said support post includes electrical contacts and cartridge includes electrical contacts for the transmission of electricity from said support post to said cartridge.

8 . The stand portion of claim 1 wherein said cartridge includes an impediment adapted to selectively obstruct said first opening.

9 . A server rack stand cooling system comprising:
a first vertical support post having a first computer support surface, and having a first post height bounded by multiple slots accessible from a direction other than said computer support surface; at least one primary cartridge, releasably affixable to said slots, adapted to sealingly affix to said post and defining a first opening directed away from said computer support surface; a primary flexible server conduit adapted to redirect gas from said primary cartridge first opening toward said computer support surface; a computer positioned adjacent to said computer support surface with a case accepting said elastic server conduit to receive fluid flow from said primary cartridge; a second vertical support post having a second computer support surface positioned adjacent to said computer, and having a second post internal cavity in fluid communication with a second post second opening positioned in a direction other than said computer support surface; a secondary flexible conduit adapted to redirect gas from said computer to said second post internal cavity; and a blower adapted to urge fluid from said first opening to said second post internal cavity.

10 . The system of claim 8 wherein said blower is positioned within said primary cartridge.

11 . The system of claim 10 wherein said first vertical support post includes a first internal cavity in fluid communication with said first opening of said primary cartridge.

12 . The system of claim 10 wherein said second vertical support post includes a releasable ancillary cartridge having an ancillary cartridge second opening to which said second elastic conduit affixes.

13 . The system of claim 10 wherein said blower includes both a primary blower, positioned beyond both said first vertical support post and said second vertical support post, and an ancillary blower positioned within said primary cartridge.

14 . The system of claim 13 wherein said ancillary blower includes a fan.

15 . The system of claim 9 wherein said primary cartridge includes an impediment adapted to selectively obstruct said primary cartridge first opening.

16 . The system of claim 15 wherein said ancillary cartridge includes an impediment adapted to selectively obstruct said ancillary cartridge first opening.

17 . A server rack stand cooling kit comprising:
a cartridge with a housing, having a first opening and a second opening bordering an interior cavity; an flexible server conduit extending from said first opening; and a server stand having a slot comparable in dimensions to said housing such that releasable joinder of said housing to said server stand slot results in a substantially flush outer surface between said housing and said server stand.

18 . The kit of claim 17 wherein said cartridge further comprises includes an impediment adapted to selectively obstruct said primary cartridge first opening.

19 . The kit of claim 17 further comprising blank comparable in dimensions to said cartridge having a sealed lateral surface.

20 . The kit of claim 17 further wherein said cartridge and said support post includes a mating slide rail attachment portion.

21 . The kit of claim 20 further comprising a blower within said housing.
