Abstract

Provided are methods and systems for managing, distributing, and publishing content. An exemplary method can comprise receiving, in a content management system, an asset for distribution. The method can also comprise generating a metadata object according to a submission standard or requirement of a destination asset distribution platform. The destination asset distribution platform can be external to the content management system and the metadata object can comprise data indicative of or associated with the asset.

1 . A method implemented by one or more computing devices, comprising:
 receiving, by the one or more computing devices, modification data of at least one of an asset or data associated with an asset, wherein the asset is associated with one or more publishing profiles, wherein each publishing profile comprises instructions for converting the asset to one or more distribution formats, and wherein each of the one or more distribution formats comprises a specification associated with a device configured to receive the asset;   identifying a distribution format in a publishing profile in the one or more publishing profiles;   performing an update action based on the received modification data, the update action comprising generating an updated copy of the asset in the distribution format based on the modification data;   publishing the updated copy of the asset to a location indicated by the publishing profile;   receiving, by the one or more computing devices, a custom publishing profile comprising at least one of a new publishing profile or a modified version of the one or more publishing profiles;   associating, by the one or more computing devices, the custom publishing profile with the asset; and   converting, by the one or more computing devices, the asset into another distribution format based on the custom publishing profile.
