Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle communication system which distributes information which is necessary in vehicle units. A vehicle communication system according to the present invention includes: a vehicle base station which performs wireless communication with a vehicle terminal installed in a vehicle to receive vehicle related service; and a server apparatus which specifies the vehicle base station of a message distribution destination according to the vehicle related service to be provided, and distributes a message related to the vehicle related service to be provided, to the specified vehicle base station. When receiving the message transmitted from the server apparatus, the vehicle base station transmits the message to the vehicle terminal which subscribes to the vehicle related service related to the message, from a plurality of vehicle terminals and located in a communication area formed by the vehicle base station.

a vehicle base station configured to perform wireless communication with a vehicle terminal installed in a vehicle to receive a vehicle related service; and a server apparatus configured to specify the vehicle base station of a message distribution destination according to a vehicle related service to be provided, and distribute a message related to the vehicle related service to be provided, to the specified vehicle base station, wherein, upon receiving the message transmitted from the server apparatus, the vehicle base station transmits the message to a vehicle terminal of a plurality of the vehicle terminals, the vehicle terminal subscribing to the vehicle related service related to the message and the plurality of vehicle terminals being located in a communication area formed by the vehicle base station.
2 . The vehicle communication system according to claim 1 , wherein the vehicle base station establishes a connection with the vehicle terminal that has transmitted identification information for identifying the vehicle terminal.
3 . The vehicle communication system according to claim 1 , wherein the vehicle base station sets an X2 interface defined by 3GPP with respect to another vehicle base station, and executes handover processing of handing over the vehicle terminal to and from the another vehicle base station when the vehicle terminal moves.

The vehicle communication system according to claim 1 , wherein the vehicle base station generates a distribution message transmitted to the vehicle terminal by using the message transmitted from the server apparatus, and transmits the generated distribution message to the vehicle terminal, the vehicle terminal subscribing to the vehicle related service related to the message.
5 . The vehicle communication system according to claim 1 , wherein the server apparatus determines a distribution area according to the vehicle related service to be provided, and specifies the vehicle base station located in the distribution area.
6 . The vehicle communication system according to claim 1 , wherein the server apparatus determines the vehicle related service to be provided according to an area in which an event has occurred and an event type.
7 . A base station comprising:
a deciding unit configured to specify a vehicle base station of a message distribution destination according to a vehicle related service to be provided, and, upon receiving a message from a server apparatus, decide a vehicle terminal of a plurality of the vehicle terminals, the server apparatus distributing the message related to the vehicle related service to be provided to the specified vehicle base station, the vehicle terminal being installed in a vehicle to receive the vehicle related service and subscribing to the vehicle related service related to the message, and the plurality of vehicle terminals being located in a communication area formed by the base station; and a communication unit configured to transmit the message to the vehicle terminal that subscribes to the vehicle related service related to the message.
8 . The base station according to claim 7 , wherein the communication unit establishes a connection with the vehicle terminal which has transmitted identification information for identifying the vehicle terminal.

The base station according to claim 7 , wherein the communication unit sets an X2 interface defined by 3GPP with respect to another vehicle base station, and executes handover processing for handing over the vehicle terminal to and from the another vehicle base station when the vehicle terminal moves.
10 . The base station according to claim 7 , further comprising a message generating unit configured to generate a distribution message to be transmitted to the vehicle terminal by using the message transmitted from the server apparatus, the vehicle terminal subscribing to the vehicle related service related to the message,
wherein the communication unit transmits to the vehicle terminal the distribution message generated by the message generating unit.
11 . A server apparatus comprising:
a distribution destination determining unit configured to determine a vehicle base station of a message distribution destination according to a vehicle related service to be provided, from a plurality of vehicle base stations that perform wireless communication with a vehicle terminal installed in a vehicle to receive the vehicle related service; and a communication unit configured to distribute a message related to the vehicle related service to be provided, to the determined vehicle base station.
12 . The server apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the distribution destination determining unit determines a distribution area according to the vehicle related service to be provided, and determines the vehicle base station located in the distribution area.
13 . The server apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the distribution destination determining unit determines the vehicle related service to be provided, according to an area in which an event has occurred and an event type.
14 . A message transmitting method comprising:
specifying a vehicle base station of a message distribution destination according to a vehicle related service to be provided, and receiving a message from a server apparatus that distributes the message related to the vehicle related service to be provided, to the specified vehicle base station; deciding a vehicle terminal of a plurality of the vehicle terminals, the vehicle terminal being installed in a vehicle to receive the vehicle related service and subscribing to the vehicle related service related to the message, and the plurality of the vehicle terminals being located in a communication area formed by a base station; and transmitting the message to the vehicle terminal that subscribes to the vehicle related service related to the message.
15 . A vehicle related service providing method comprising:
determining a vehicle base station of a message distribution destination according to a vehicle related service to be provided, from a plurality of the vehicle base stations that perform wireless communication with a vehicle terminal installed in a vehicle to receive the vehicle related service; and distributing a message related to the vehicle related service to be provided, to the determined vehicle base station.
