Abstract
The present specification discloses compositions comprising at least one therapeutic compound capable of modulating androgen production and methods and uses for treating a disorder associated with androgen production using such compositions and/or compounds.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of treating an individual with a prostate cancer, the method comprising the step of administering to the individual a therapeutically effective amount of risperidone and from 0.01 mg/kg/day to 0.5 mg/kg/day of a 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid, wherein administration reduces a symptom associated with the prostate cancer, thereby treating the individual,
wherein there is a synergistic effect between the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , the therapeutically effective amount of risperidone is from 0.1 mg/day to 20 mg/day.
3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount of risperidone is from 0.01 mg/kg/day to 1 mg/kg/day.
4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the reduced symptom includes a reduction in the frequency of a symptom of a prostate cancer, a reduction in the number of symptoms of a prostate cancer, or any combination thereof.
5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered sequentially or simultaneously.
6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered to the individual as a single composition.
7 . A method of treating an individual with a prostate cancer, the method comprising the step of administering to the individual from 0.01 mg/kg/day to 0.5 mg/kg/day of a risperidone and from 0.01 mg/kg/day to 0.5 mg/kg/day of a 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid, wherein administration reduces a symptom associated with the prostate cancer, thereby treating the individual,
wherein there is a synergistic effect between the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid.
8 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein the reduced symptom includes a reduction in the frequency of a symptom of a prostate cancer, a reduction in the number of symptoms of a prostate cancer, or any combination thereof.
9 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered sequentially or simultaneously.
10 . The method according to claim 7 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered to the individual as a single composition.
11 . A method of treating an individual with a prostate cancer, the method comprising the step of administering to the individual a therapeutically effective amount of risperidone and from 0.1 mg/day to 20 mg/day of a 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid, wherein administration reduces a symptom associated with the prostate cancer, thereby treating the individual,
wherein there is a synergistic effect between the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid.
12 . The method according to claim 11 , the therapeutically effective amount of risperidone is from 0.1 mg/day to 20 mg/day.
13 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount of risperidone is from 0.01 mg/kg/day to 0.5 mg/kg/day.
14 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the reduced symptom includes a reduction in the frequency of a symptom of a prostate cancer, a reduction in the number of symptoms of a prostate cancer, or any combination thereof.
15 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered sequentially or simultaneously.
16 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the risperidone and the 9Z,11E conjugated Linoleic Acid are administered to the individual as a single composition.Cited by (0)
