Abstract
Isolated peptides comprising nuclear targeting activity or being capable of preventing endogenous nuclear targeting activity are disclosed. Polynucleotides encoding same, pharmaceutical compositions comprising same, as well as uses thereof are also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method of inhibiting ERK2 nuclear translocation in a subject comprising administering to the subject an agent which inhibits the interaction between ERK2 and importin7, thereby inhibiting ERK2 nuclear translocation.
2 . A method of treating a hyperproliferative disease in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an agent which inhibits the interaction between ERK2 and importin7, thereby treating the hyperproliferative disease.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the hyperproliferative disease is cancer.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein said cancer is selected from the group consisting of melanoma, breast cancer and colorectal cancer.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein said cancer is melanoma.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said agent is a peptide.
7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said agent is a peptide.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein said peptide is myristoylated.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein said peptide is myristoylated.Cited by (0)
