Abstract
Technologies are generally described for an advertisement management scheme. In some examples, a method performed under control of an electronic device may include counting a number of users proximate to the electronic device; adjusting at least one attribute associated with an advertisement based at least in part on the counted number of users; and providing the users with the advertisement for which the at least one attribute has been adjusted.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An electronic device, comprising:
one or more processors configured to perform or control performance of:
determine a number of users proximate to the electronic device;
determine whether the number of users is different from a particular number of users; and
customize advertisement content based at least, in part, on a determination that the number of users is different from the particular number of users,
wherein to customize the advertisement content, the one or more processors are configured to perform or control performance of:
adjust one or more of: a play length, a skip past time associated with the advertisement content, a number of banners, and an advertisement area; and
a display, operatively coupled to the one or more processors, configured to display the customized advertisement content; and a memory, operatively coupled to the one or more processors, configured to store the customized advertisement content.
2 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a receiver configured to receive the advertisement content from a content server.
3 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a camera configured to capture an image of at least one user proximate to the electronic device, wherein the one or more processors are configured to perform or control performance of:
determine the number of users by facial recognition on the image captured by the camera.
4 . The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a signal receiver configured to receive signals from one or more mobile devices associated with users, wherein the one or more processors are configured to perform or control performance of:
determine the number of users by a count of the signals received by the signal receiver.
5 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the display is configured to display non-advertisement content after the display of the advertisement content, and wherein the non-advertisement content includes at least one of a web page, a movie clip, and a news clip.
6 . The electronic device of claim 1 , wherein to customize the advertisement content, the one or more processors are configured to perform or control performance of:
select one of pre-customized files stored in a database.
7 . The electronic device of claim 6 , wherein the pre-customized files include at least one of: a banner image, an advertisement video clip, a still image, and an audio-video file.
8 . A method performed under control of an electronic device, the method comprising:
determining a first number of users proximate to the electronic device; determining whether the first number of users is different from a second number of users; customizing an advertisement based at least, in part, on a determination that the first number of users is different from the second number of users,
wherein the customizing the advertisement includes customizing a video file, and
wherein the customizing the video file includes adjusting one or more of: a play length of the video file, a skip past time associated with the video file, a number of banners, and an advertisement area; and
playing the customized video file.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the second number of users includes a default number of users.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the determining the number of users includes counting the number of users, and wherein the counting the number of users includes one or more of:
capturing an image of one or more users; and receiving one or more reference signals from one or more client devices associated with the one or more users.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the customizing the video file includes adjusting the advertisement area, and wherein the adjusting the advertisement area includes decreasing the advertisement area based at least, in part, on a determination that the first number of users is greater than the second number of users.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the customizing the video file includes adjusting the skip past time associated with the video file, and wherein the adjusting the skip past time associated with the video file includes one of:
reducing a minimum amount of time to skip past the video file, based at least, in part, on a determination that the first number of users is greater than the second number of users; or increasing the minimum amount of time to skip past the video file, based at least, in part, on a determination that the first number of users is less than the second number of users.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the customizing the video file includes adjusting the play length of the video file, and wherein the adjusting the play length of the video file includes one of:
reducing the play length of the video file, based at least, in part, on a determination that the first number of users is greater than the second number of users; or increasing the play length of the video file, based at least, in part, on a determination that the first number of users is less than the second number of users.
14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the customizing the video file includes selecting one of pre-customized video files stored in a database.
15 . A method performed under control of an electronic device, the method comprising:
determining a number of users proximate to the electronic device; performing, based on the determined number of users, one of:
selecting one of a plurality of video files stored in a database, wherein each video file of the plurality of video files has a different play length; or
selecting at least one image file of a plurality of image files stored in the database, wherein a number of the at least one image file to be selected is determined based on the determined number of users; and
displaying the selected video file or the selected at least one image file on a display of the electronic device.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the determining the number of users includes:
capturing, by a camera, an image of at least one user; and counting the number of users by counting a reference feature of each of the at least one user in the captured image.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the counting the reference feature includes performing facial recognition on the captured image.
18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the determining the number of users includes:
receiving, by a signal receiver, at least one signal from at least one client device associated with at least one user.
19 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising:
generating the plurality of video files; and storing the generated plurality of video files in the database.
20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the selecting one of the plurality of video files includes selecting, in response to a determination that the number of users is greater than a default number of users, a first file having a shortened play length from among the plurality of video files.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
