Abstract

Described herein is a dosage of foam including from about 5 cm 3 to about 70 cm 3 of the foam. The foam includes from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant; from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant; a foam density of from about 0.10 g/cm 3 to about 0.35 g/cm 3 ; a bubble size distribution having an R 32 of from about 5 μm to about 100 μm; and a yield point of from about 5 Pa to about 100 Pa.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 ) A dosage of foam comprising:
 a. from about 5 cm 3  to about 150 cm 3  of the foam;
 wherein the foam comprises: 
 i. from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant by weight of the foam; 
 ii. from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant by weight of the foam; 
 iii. a foam density of from about 0.10 g/cm 3  to about 0.35 g/cm 3 ; 
 iv. a bubble size distribution comprising an R32 of from about 5 μm to about 90 μm; 
 v. and a yield point of from about 10 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
   
     
     
         2 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the bubble size distribution comprises an R32 of from about 10 μm to about 60 μm. 
     
     
         3 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the bubble size distribution comprises an R32 of from about 20 μm to about 50 μm. 
     
     
         4 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the bubble size distribution comprises an R32 of from about 25 μm to about 40 μm. 
     
     
         5 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the yield point is from about 20 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         6 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the yield point is from about 25 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         7 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the yield point is from about 38 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         8 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the volume of the dosage of foam is from about 10 g/cm 3  to about 50 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         9 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.15 g/cm 3  to about 0.35 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         10 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.20 g/cm 3  to about 0.35 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         11 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the propellant is selected from the group consisting of isobutene, propane, trans 1,3,3,3 tetrafluroprop-1-ene, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         12 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the detersive surfactant is an anionic surfactant. 
     
     
         13 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of foam further comprises from about 0.0035 g to about 0.7 g of an anti-dandruff agent by weight of the foam. 
     
     
         14 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 13 , wherein the anti-dandruff agent is selected from the group consisting of octopirox, zinc pyrithione, and mixtures thereof. 
     
     
         15 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the propellant is trans 1,3,3,3 tetrafluroprop-1-ene. 
     
     
         16 ) A dosage of foam comprising:
 a. from about 5 cm 3  to about 150 cm 3  of the foam;
 wherein the foam comprises: 
 i. from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant by weight of the foam; 
 ii. from about 0.00005 g to about 0.25 g of a cationic deposition polymer by weight of the foam; 
 iii. a foam density of from about 0.10 g/cm 3  to about 0.35 g/cm 3 ; 
 iv. a bubble size distribution comprising an R32 of from about 5 μm to about 90 μm; 
 v. and a yield point of from about 10 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
   
     
     
         17 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the yield point is from about 25 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         18 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the yield point is from about 38 Pa to about 100 Pa. 
     
     
         19 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.15 g/cm 3  to about 0.35 g/cm 3 . 
     
     
         20 ) The dosage of foam of  claim 1 , wherein the foam density is from about 0.20 g/cm 3  to about 0.35 g/cm 3 .
