Abstract
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for nucleic acid isolation. In particular, the present disclosure provides systems and methods for isolating nucleic acids from aqueous samples (e.g., blood or urine).

a) a detergent; b) a bead-beating bead; c) a proteinase; d) isopropanol; d) a lysis solution; e) a wash buffer comprising isopropanol; and f) a solid support.
15 . The kit of claim 14 , wherein said bead-beating bead is a Zirconnia/Yttria bead.
16 . The kit of claim 14 , wherein said proteinase is proteinase K.
17 . The kit of claim 14 , wherein said solid support is a bead.
18 . The kit of claim 17 , wherein said bead is a magnetic particle.
19 . The kit of claim 14 , further comprising control DNA and/or RNA.
