Abstract

A method for managing a storage system. The method includes one or more computer processors receiving a first set of data associated with a storage system. The method further includes determining whether to service the storage system based on utilizing one or more models associated with the storage system to analyze the first set of data. In response determining to service the storage system, the method further includes generating a set of notifications based, at least in part, on information from the one or more models associated with the storage system analyzing the first set of data. The method further includes initiating a pre-service activity associated the storage system based, at least in part, on information within the set of notifications.

What is claimed is:

         1 . A method for managing a storage system, the method comprising:
 receiving, by one or more computer processors, a first set of data associated with a storage system, wherein the first set of data associated with the storage system includes operational data, sensor data, system logs, and environmental data; determining, by one or more computer processors, to service the storage system based on a prediction generated by one or more models associated with the storage system based, at least in part on, the received first set of data and analyses of a plurality of aggregated data associated with the storage system, service information associated with the storage system, and a plurality of aggregated information associated with one or other instances of the storage system; in response to determining to service the storage system, determining, by one or more computer processors, a set of pre-service activities associated with the storage system based, a result output from at least one model associated with the storage system, the one or more models associated with the storage system are based on graph workloads, wherein the set of pre-service activities associated with the storage system includes:
 modifying a set of operational parameters of the storage system;
 replicating a first set of data, stored within storage media of the storage system to another network-accessible storage system;
 automatically transporting a second set of data, stored within one or more corresponding storage media, from the storage system to another storage system via a system connecting the storage system to the other storage system; and
 identifying a third set of data based on one or more information lifecycle management criteria and stored within another one or more corresponding storage media, for migration from the storage system to an inactive records storage facility;
   identifying, by one or more computer processors, one or more constraints that affects a response associated with the determination to service the storage system, wherein the one or more constraints include:
 an availability associated with one or more repair parts for the storage system, the repair parts identified based on the received first data, the plurality of aggregated data associated with the storage system, and at least one model associated with the storage system;
 one or more locations of part depots that store one or more of the identified repair parts and respective logistical constraints affecting a delivery corresponding to an identified repair part; and
 a schedule of a service representative;
   in response identifying one or more constraints that affects a response associated with the determination to service the storage system, modifying, by one or more computer processors, the determined set of pre-service activities associated with the storage system based, at least in part on the identified one or more constraints; generating, by one or more computer processors, a set of notifications based, at least in part, on information from the one or more models associated with the storage system analyzing the first set of data, and the modified set of pre-service activities associated with the storage system; and initiating, by one or more computer processors, the set of modified pre-service activities associated with the storage system based, at least in part, on information within the generated set of notifications, wherein initiating the set of modified pre-service activities associated with the storage system further comprises:
 implementing, by one or more computer processors, a modified set of operational parameters on the storage system;
 determining, by one or more computer processors, one or more changes to first set of data, the second set of data, the third set of data, and initiating the corresponding actions related to a changed first set of data, a changed second set of data, a changed third set of data, and the storage system; and
 transmitting, by one or more computer processors, one or more notifications associated with the determination to service the storage system to an administrator of the storage system.
