Abstract
A roofing membrane includes a membrane layer. An adhesive layer is adhered to a first side of the membrane layer and a layer of granules is adhered to the first adhesive layer.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 18 . (canceled)
19 . A granule coated waterproof membrane, comprising:
a plastic waterproof membrane layer; a reinforcement layer positioned inside the plastic waterproof membrane layer; an adhesive layer having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface is adhered to a first side of the waterproof membrane layer; and a layer of roofing granules adhered to the second surface of the adhesive layer.
20 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the waterproof membrane layer is formed substantially from at least one of: ketone ethylene ester (KEE) resin, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM), and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO).
21 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the reinforcement layer is a woven or knitted fibrous material.
22 . The roofing membrane according to claim 21 , wherein the woven or knitted fibrous material is formed from at least one of polyester fiber, glass fiber, and combinations thereof.
23 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the reinforcement layer is a non-woven glass fiber material.
24 . The roofing membrane according to claim 23 , wherein the non-woven or knitted fibrous material is formed from glass fibers.
25 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the waterproof membrane layer is formed substantially from a blend of ketone ethylene ester and polyvinyl chloride.
26 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the adhesive layer comprises asphalt.
27 . The roofing membrane according to claim 26 , wherein the asphalt of the adhesive layer is a polymer modified asphalt.
28 . The roofing membrane according to claim 27 , wherein the polymer modified asphalt includes one of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS), styrene-butadiene (SB), and blends thereof.
29 . The roofing membrane according to claim 28 , wherein the polymer modified asphalt further comprises at least one of a thermoplastic polymer and a thermoplastic polyolefin.
30 . The roofing membrane according to claim 29 , wherein the polymer modified asphalt further comprises at least one of polyethylene, polypropylene, an ethylene-propylene copolymer, limestone, dolomite, talc, recycled roofing material, tackifying resin, process oil, and wax.
31 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the roofing membrane has a puncture resistance of 1751 bf or greater.
32 . The roofing membrane according to claim 19 , wherein the roofing membrane has a puncture resistance between about 1751 bf and about 2501 bf.
33 . A granule coated waterproof membrane, comprising:
a non-woven fiberglass reinforcement layer; a plastic waterproof membrane layer on a first side of the non-woven fiberglass fiber reinforcement layer; an asphalt coating at least partially penetrating the reinforcement material on a second side of the reinforcement material; and a layer of roofing granules adhered to the asphalt coating.
34 . The roofing membrane according to claim 33 , wherein the waterproof membrane layer is formed substantially from at least one of: ketone ethylene ester (KEE) resin, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM), and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO).
35 . The roofing membrane according to claim 33 , wherein the waterproof membrane layer is formed substantially from a blend of ketone ethylene ester and polyvinyl chloride.
36 . The roofing membrane according to claim 33 , wherein the asphalt coating is a polymer modified asphalt.
37 . The roofing membrane according to claim 36 , wherein the polymer modified asphalt includes one of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS), styrene-butadiene (SB), and blends thereof.
38 . The roofing membrane according to claim 37 , wherein the polymer modified asphalt further comprises at least one of a thermoplastic polymer and a thermoplastic polyolefin.
39 . The roofing membrane according to claim 38 , wherein the polymer modified asphalt further comprises at least one of polyethylene, polypropylene, an ethylene-propylene copolymer, limestone, dolomite, talc, recycled roofing material, tackifying resin, process oil, and wax.
40 . The roofing membrane according to claim 33 , wherein the roofing membrane has a puncture resistance of 1751 bf or greater.
41 . The roofing membrane according to claim 33 , wherein the roofing membrane has a puncture resistance between about 1751 bf and about 2501 bf.Cited by (0)
