Abstract

A vest assembly includes a bodice having two front upper chest/shoulder compressive regions, two front mid-core compressive regions that surround a trunk area and terminate at one full length back compressive region, each of the compressive regions comprising a compressive material of varying strengths selected to provide cushion and resistance to a specific area of a user's body, a neck collar attached to the bodice and including the compressive material, and a collar adjustment of an elasticized material for providing adjustable resistance to the neck collar.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A vest assembly comprising:
a bodice having two front upper chest/shoulder pockets, two front mid-core pockets that surround a trunk area and terminate at one full length back pocket; a neck collar attached to the bodice and including compressive material to provide cushion and resistance; a collar adjustment of an elasticized material for providing adjustable resistance to the neck collar; and compressive inserts for selective insertion in the two front upper chest/shoulder pockets, two front mid-core pockets and one full length back pocket, each of the compressive inserts comprising a compressive material of varying strengths selected to provide resistance to a specific area of a user's body.

2 . The vest assembly of claim 1 wherein bodice and the pockets are manufactured from materials that are light-weight and breathable for expansion and slight compression during resistance training.

3 . The vest assembly of claim 1 wherein the neck collar extends approximately one to three inches above a neck line of the user.

4 . The vest assembly of claim 1 further comprising at least one weighted element for selective insertion in the two front mid-core pockets that surround the trunk area.

5 . The vest assembly of claim 1 further comprising at least one weighted element for selective insertion in the full length back pocket.

6 . The vest assembly of claim 1 wherein the pockets are secured by a closure mechanism.

7 . The vest assembly of claim 1 wherein the pockets are secured by upper slots for removing and replacing compressive inserts.

8 . The vest assembly of claim 1 wherein the pockets are secured by hook and loop fasteners.

9 . The vest assembly of claim 1 further comprising an adjustable waist.

10 . The vest assembly of claim 9 wherein the adjustable waist comprises an elastic cord fed through a channel formed in the bodice with a locking plastic toggle spring stop.

         11 . A vest assembly comprising:
a bodice having two front upper chest/shoulder compressive regions, two front mid-core compressive regions that surround a trunk area and terminate at one full length back compressive region, each of the compressive regions comprising a compressive material of varying strengths selected to provide cushion and resistance to a specific area of a user's body; a neck collar attached to the bodice and including the compressive material; and a collar adjustment of an elasticized material for providing adjustable resistance to the neck collar.

12 . The vest assembly of claim 11 wherein bodice and the compressive regions are manufactured from materials that are light-weight and breathable for expansion and slight compression during resistance training.

13 . The vest assembly of claim 11 further comprising an adjustable waist.

14 . The vest assembly of claim 13 wherein the adjustable waist comprises an elastic cord fed through a channel formed in the bodice with a locking plastic toggle spring stop.
