Abstract

Systems and methods for selecting follicular units in a distribution of follicular units are provided. In an embodiment, a method comprises determining in a distribution of follicular units, an original hair density existing prior to some natural hair loss, harvesting procedure, or the original hair density existing but not accurately determinable due to undetectable hair, and using the determined original hair density for harvesting or implanting follicular units in the distribution of follicular units.
