Abstract
A method for treating or preventing the symptoms associated with hang over in an individual suffering from or being at risk for such conditions. The method includes the steps of: i) providing the composition of the invention containing AP, and ii) contacting AP with the mediator a) within the individual, or b) separate from the individual.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for treating or preventing the symptoms associated with hang over in an individual suffering from or being at risk for suffering from such, the method comprising the steps of:
i) providing a composition containing as an active principle (=AP) a carrier which exhibits a plurality of a scavenger structure which is capable blocking of alcohol metabolite acetaldehyde, wherein the scavenger comprises a nucleophilic center, and ii) systematically administrating the AP; wherein the carrier is a polyvinyl alcohol and the nucleophilic center is a hydrazide group.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the numbers of nucleophilic centres per monomeric unit of the polyvinyl alcohol is 10 to 80%.
3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the numbers of nucleophilic centres per monomeric unit of the polyvinyl alcohol is 12.7 to 50%.
4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the hydriazide group is selected from the group consisting of: —NH—NH 2 , a semicarbazide group, a carbazate group, a thiosemicarbazide group, and a thiocarbazate group.
5 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein the hydrozide group is carbazate.
6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the numbers of monomeric units of the polyvinyl alcohol is 200-600.
7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the composition is in the form of a solution, dispersion, syrup, tablet or capsules.Cited by (0)
