less than about 325 ppm by weight of calcium based on total weight of the composition; less than about 420 ppm by weight of iron based on total weight of the composition; and less than about 4425 ppm by weight of sulfur based on total weight of the composition.

289 . The composition of claim 283 , wherein the weight ratio of the water-soluble C6 monosaccharide hydrolysate to the elements is greater than about 30:1.

290 . The composition of claim 282 , wherein the impurities comprise at least one of:
less than about 325 ppm by weight of calcium based on total weight of the composition; less than about 420 ppm by weight of iron based on total weight of the composition; and less than about 4425 ppm by weight of sulfur based on total weight of the composition.

291 . The composition of claim 283 , wherein the impurities comprise at least one of:
less than about 0.08 ppm by weight of calcium based on total weight of the composition; less than about 0.05 ppm by weight of iron based on total weight of the composition; and less than about 54.50 ppm by weight of sulfur based on total weight of the composition.

292 . The composition of claim 282 , wherein the impurities comprise at least one of:
less than about 0.08 ppm by weight of calcium based on total weight of the composition; less than about 0.05 ppm by weight of iron based on total weight of the composition; and less than about 54.50 ppm by weight of sulfur based on total weight of the composition.
