         1 . An artificial eyelash, comprising:
 an artificial eyelash having a tip and a root, the root being flattened on at least one side.   
     
     
         2 . The artificial eyelash as set forth in  claim 1 , wherein the artificial eyelash is a synthetic filament. 
     
     
         3 . The artificial eyelash as set forth in  claim 2 , wherein the root is flattened on at least two sides. 
     
     
         4 . The artificial eyelash as set forth in  claim 3 , wherein the root is flattened on at least three sides. 
     
     
         5 . The artificial eyelash as set forth in  claim 3 , wherein the root is flattened on at least four sides. 
     
     
         6 . The artificial eyelash as set forth in  claim 1 , wherein the root is flattened on at least two sides.
