Abstract

A prophylactic and therapeutic agent for Rett Syndrome (RTT) is provided, a pharmaceutical composition comprising ghrelin and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a prophylactic and therapeutic agent for RTT comprising a therapeutically effective amount of ghrelin. The side chain of serine at the 3rd position of ghrelin is modified with octanoic acid.

         2 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 1  wherein the side chain of serine at the 3rd position of ghrelin is modified with octanoic acid. 
     
     
         3 . A prophylactic and therapeutic agent for Rett Syndrome (RTT) comprising a therapeutically effective amount of ghrelin. 
     
     
         4 . The prophylactic and therapeutic agent according to  claim 3  wherein the side chain of serine at the 3rd position of ghrelin is modified with octanoic acid.
