Pharmaceutical composition for treatment and prevention of cancers

Abstract

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treatment and/or prevention of cancer, which comprises, as an active ingredient, an antibody or fragment thereof having an immunological reactivity with a CAPRIN-1 protein or a fragment thereof comprising 7 or more consecutive amino acids.

1 . An antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that binds a CAPRIN-1 protein which has the amino acid sequence shown in any one of the even numbered SEQ ID NOs: 2 to 30, wherein the antibody or fragment specifically binds the CAPRIN-1 protein expressed on the cell surface of the cancer. 
     
     
         2 . The antibody according to  claim 1 , which has an antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) activity of the antibody. 
     
     
         3 . The antibody according to  claim 1 , which is a monoclonal antibody or polyclonal antibody. 
     
     
         4 . The antibody according to  claim 1 , which is a human antibody, a humanized antibody, a chimeric antibody, a single-chain antibody, or a bispecific antibody.
