Abstract
A method of riveting sheet includes the following steps: providing a metal sheet, a rivet member and a tool of riveting sheet, an engaging structure is formed at an external edge of the rivet member, the tool includes a first riveting head and a second riveting head, and a rib is formed on a surface of the first riveting head; defining a rivet hole on the metal sheet; disposing the rivet member in the rivet hole and arranging the engaging structure corresponding to an internal edge of the rivet hole; clamping the rivet member by the first riveting head and the second riveting head and pressing both surfaces of the metal sheet, the rib is therefore embedded into the metal sheet to deform the metal sheet and the internal edge of the rivet hole is shrunk to embed into the engaging structure.

1 . A method of riveting sheet, including steps of:
a) providing a metal sheet, a rivet member and a tool of riveting sheet, wherein an engaging structure is formed at an external edge of the rivet member, the tool of riveting sheet includes a first riveting head and a second riveting head, and a rib is formed on a surface of the first riveting head; b) defining a rivet hole on the metal sheet; c) disposing the rivet member in the rivet hole and arranging the engaging structure corresponding to an internal edge of the rivet hole; and d) clamping the rivet member by the first riveting head and the second riveting head and pressing both surfaces of the metal sheet for enabling the rib to be embedded into the metal sheet to deform the metal sheet and allowing the internal edge of the rivet hole to be shrunk to embed into the engaging structure.
2 . The method of riveting sheet according to claim 1 , wherein the thickness of the metal sheet is smaller than 0.8 mm.
3 . The method of riveting sheet according to claim 1 , wherein, in the step d), the rib is served to press the metal sheet at a location close to the rivet hole.
4 . The method of riveting sheet according to claim 1 , wherein in the step d), the rib is formed in a circular status, and the rib is served to surround the rivet member.

The method of riveting sheet according to claim 1 , wherein the first riveting head is formed with a first positioning structure, the second riveting head is formed with a second positioning structure capable of being engaged with the first positioning structure; and in the step d), the first positioning structure and the second positioning structure are allowed to pass the rivet member for being engaged with each other so as to enable the rib to be aligned with the rivet member.
6 . A structure of riveting sheet, including:
a metal sheet, formed with a rivet hole; and a rivet member, disposed in the rivet hole, wherein an engaging structure is formed at an external edge of the rivet member, and an internal edge of the rivet hole is embedded into the engaging structure; wherein, a deformation slot is formed on the metal sheet and the deformation slot is located close to the rivet hole.
7 . The structure of riveting sheet according to claim 6 , wherein the deformation slot is extended to surround the rivet hole.
8 . The structure of riveting sheet according to claim 6 , wherein the thickness of the metal sheet is smaller than 0.8 mm.
9 . A tool of riveting sheet, used for riveting and fastening a rivet member on a metal sheet, a rivet hole being formed on the metal sheet, an engaging structure being formed at an external edge of the rivet member, the rivet member being disposed in the rivet hole and the engaging structure being arranged corresponding to an internal edge of the rivet hole, and the tool of riveting sheet including:
a first riveting head and a second riveting head used for clamping the rivet member and pressing two surfaces of the metal sheet, and a rib is formed on a surface of the first riveting head.
10 . The tool of riveting sheet according to claim 9 , wherein the rib is formed in a circular status for being embedded into an outer periphery of the rivet hole.
11 . The tool of riveting sheet according to claim 9 , wherein the first riveting head is formed with a first positioning structure, the second riveting head is formed with a second positioning structure capable of being engaged with the first positioning structure, and the first positioning structure and the second positioning structure are allowed to pass the rivet member for being engaged with each other so as to enable the rib to be aligned with the rivet member.
12 . The tool of riveting sheet according to claim 11 , wherein the rib is formed in a circular status and served to surround the first positioning structure.Cited by (0)
