Abstract

Described herein is a control arrangement for mounting on an external surface of a luminaire. The control arrangement comprises a control module and a control module base configured to be mounted to one another. The control module base comprises a near-field communication means configured to communicate with a near-field communication unit provided in the control module.

1 . Control module base for mounting a control module to an external surface of a luminaire, comprising:
 a base body portion having a first surface, a second surface and a lateral surface located between the first and second surfaces;   at least one recess provided on the first surface and configured for fastening a control module to the first surface of the base body portion; and   a near-field communication means including at least one item of information relating to the specification of the luminaire.   
     
     
         2 . Control module base according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the near-field communication means is arranged at least partially on an outside of one of the base body portion first surface, second surface and lateral surfaces. 
     
     
         3 . Control module base according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the near-field communication means is at least partially integrated into the base body portion. 
     
     
         4 . Control module base according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the near-field communication means comprises an RFID transponder. 
     
     
         5 . Control module base according to  claim 4 , characterized in that the control module base includes an information carrier configured for at least one of:
 marking the position of the RFID transponder;   positioning the control module; and   aligning the near-field communication means.   
     
     
         6 . Control module base according to  claim 5 , characterized in that the information carrier is arranged on the lateral surface of the base body portion, which is angled with respect to the first surface. 
     
     
         7 . Control module base according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the near-field communication means comprises a cylindrical shape including the coil and transponder circuit, the cylindrical shape permitting its insertion into the base body by way of one of:
 a hole provided in the base body and   inclusion into the base body during its manufacture.   
     
     
         8 . Control module base according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the base body portion is of multipartite construction comprising a plurality of base body portion parts, in which at least one part of the base body portion parts comprises conductive connection contacts and is configured to be rotated relative to at least one other part of the base body portion parts. 
     
     
         9 . Control module base according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the information included in the near-field communication means comprises a unique identifier relating to a luminaire to which it is to be mounted and which corresponds to a unique identifier in a database for subsequent individualization of the luminaire with which the near-field communication means is associated. 
     
     
         10 . Control module configured for the integration of a luminaire with which it is associated into a luminaire network, the control module comprising:
 a plurality of electronic components; and   characterized in that the control module is further configured to be mounted to a first surface of a base body portion of a control module base, wherein the base body portion comprises the first surface, a second surface, a lateral surface located between the first and second surfaces, at least one recess provided on the first surface and configured for fastening the control module to the first surface of the base body portion, and a near-field communication means including at least one item of information relating to the specification of the luminaire; and   wherein the control module further comprises a near-field communication unit by means of which the information in the near-field communication means of the control module base can be read out.   
     
     
         11 . Control module according to  claim 10 , characterized in that the near-field communication unit comprises a radio frequency identification read unit. 
     
     
         12 . Control module according to  claim 10 , characterized in that the near-field communication unit comprises a substantially planar antenna arranged to be substantially parallel to an end face of the control module. 
     
     
         13 . Control module according to  claim 12 , characterized in that the antenna is formed parallel to a processor printed circuit board which has at least some of the electronic components. 
     
     
         14 . Control module according to  claim 12 , characterized in that the antenna comprises curved sections and substantially straight sections, the curved sections located at different radial distances from a longitudinal axis of the control module and connected to one another by means of the substantially straight antenna sections. 
     
     
         15 . Control module according to  claim 12 , characterized in that the antenna comprises a part of an antenna printed circuit board that is configured to be directed towards the end face, and in that the control module further comprises shielding configured for shielding the antenna printed circuit board from interference from other components within the control module. 
     
     
         16 . Control module according to  claim 10 , characterized in that the control module further comprises a module information carrier configured for marking at least one of:
 a position of the near-field communication unit; and   a position of the near-field communication means.   
     
     
         17 . Control module according to  claim 10 , characterized in that the near-field communication unit is configured to write to near-field communication means of a control module base with which the control module is associated. 
     
     
         18 . Control arrangement, comprising:
 a control module base comprising a base body portion having a first surface, a second surface, a lateral surface located between the first and second surfaces, at least one recess provided on the first surface and configured for fastening a control module to the first surface of the base body portion, and a near-field communication means including at least one item of information relating to a specification of the luminaire; and   a control module configured for the integration of a luminaire with which it is associated into a luminaire network, the control module comprising a plurality of electronic components, characterized in that the control module is further configured to be mounted to the first surface of the base body portion of the control module base, and a near-field communication unit by means of which the information in the near-field communication means of the control module base can be read out.   
     
     
         19 . Apparatus according to  claim 18 , further comprising:
 a luminaire comprising the control arrangement structure.
