Mobile computing device technology and systems and methods utilizing the same
Abstract
Mobile computing device technology and systems and methods using the same are described herein. In particular, mobile computing devices that may serve as a processing component of a disaggregated computing system described, non-integral screens that may be paired with the mobile computing devices, and systems and methods using such devices and screens are described. In some embodiments, the mobile computing device technology includes a mobile computing device that lacks an integral screen, but which is capable of throwing at least video information to a non-integral target screen, e.g., via a paired connection established over a wired or wireless communication interface.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A mobile computing device comprising a processor and a memory, the memory comprising at least one module comprising computer readable instructions which when executed by said processor causes said mobile computing device to perform the following operations comprising:
establish a paired connection with at least one target screen via at least one of a wired and wireless communication interface, wherein the target screen is a vehicle screen that is not integral to said mobile computing device; and transmit at least video information generated by an application executing on said mobile computing device to said target screen over at least said paired connection, without displaying said video information on said mobile device.
2 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein said instructions when executed cause said mobile computing device to establish said paired connection with said target screen over a wired communication interface.
3 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein said instructions when executed cause said mobile computing device to establish said paired connection with said target screen over a wireless communication interface.
4 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein said vehicle screen is a screen of an airplane, an automobile, a bicycle, a motorcycle, or a train.
5 . The mobile computing device of claim 5 , wherein said vehicle screen is an automobile screen.
6 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein said application is a navigation application that is to perform global positioning system (GPS) navigation operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said GPS navigation operations.
7 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein said application is an audio streaming application to perform audio streaming operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said audio streaming operations.
8 . The mobile computing device of claim 5 , wherein said application is a navigation application that is to perform global positioning system (GPS) navigation operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said GPS navigation operations.
9 . The mobile computing device of claim 5 , wherein said application is an audio streaming application to perform audio streaming operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said audio streaming operations.
10 . A method, comprising:
establishing, with a mobile computing device, a paired connection with at least one target screen via at least one of a wired and wireless communication interface, wherein the target screen is a vehicle screen that is not integral to said mobile computing device; and transmitting, with said mobile computing device, at least video information generated by an application executing on said mobile computing device to said target screen over at least said paired connection, without displaying said video information on said mobile device.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein said paired connection is established with a wired communication interface.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein said paired connection is established with a wireless communication interface.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein said vehicle screen is a screen of an airplane, an automobile, a bicycle, a motorcycle, or a train.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein said vehicle screen is an automobile screen.
15 . The method of claim 10 , wherein said application is a navigation application that is to perform global positioning system (GPS) navigation operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said GPS navigation operations.
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein said application is an audio streaming application to perform audio streaming operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said audio streaming operations.
17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein said application is a navigation application that is to perform global positioning system (GPS) navigation operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said GPS navigation operations.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein said application is an audio streaming application to perform audio streaming operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said audio streaming operations.
19 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising computer readable instructions which when executed by a processor of a mobile computing device cause said mobile computing device to perform the following operations comprising:
establish a paired connection with at least one target screen via at least one of a wired and wireless communication interface, wherein the target screen is a vehicle screen that is not integral to said mobile computing device; and transmit at least video information generated by an application executing on said mobile computing device to said target screen over at least said paired connection, without displaying said video information on said mobile device.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 19 , wherein said vehicle screen is a screen of an airplane, an automobile, a bicycle, a motorcycle, or a train.
21 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 20 , wherein said vehicle screen is an automobile screen.
22 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 19 , wherein said application is a navigation application that is to perform global positioning system (GPS) navigation operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said GPS navigation operations.
23 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 19 , wherein said application is an audio streaming application to perform audio streaming operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said audio streaming operations.
24 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein said application is a navigation application that is to perform global positioning system (GPS) navigation operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said GPS navigation operations.
25 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 21 , wherein said application is an audio streaming application to perform audio streaming operations, and said video information comprises information associated with said audio streaming operations.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
