Abstract
Arrangements described herein relate to a portable headset. The portable headset includes a body. The portable headset is configured to be in a stored state by folding the body and in a deployed state by unfolding the body to receive a head of a subject. The portable headset further includes a device including a transducer. The device is configured to be adjacent the received head of the subject when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
. A portable headset, comprising:
a body such that the portable headset is configured to be in a stored state by folding the body, and in a deployed state by unfolding the body to receive a head of a subject; and a device comprising a transducer, the device configured to be adjacent the received head of the subject when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , wherein the transducer is configured to collect data from the head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 2 , wherein the data comprises blood flow characteristics of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , wherein the device is configured to transmit and receive ultrasound energy waves with respect to the head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , wherein the device further comprises robotics configured to move the transducer with respect to the head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 5 , wherein the robotics are configured to move the transducer by at least one of a) translating the transducer along a surface of the head of the subject, or b) moving the transducer towards and away from the head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , further comprising at least one cushion on the body and configured to receive the head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 7 , wherein the at least one cushion comprises a plurality of cushions shaped as wedges such that the plurality of cushions have shapes that decrease in thickness as the plurality of cushions extend towards each other.
. The portable headset of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of cushions are configured to receive the head of the subject between the plurality of cushions such that a position of the head of the subject is restrained between the plurality of cushions.
. The portable headset of claim 7 , wherein the at least one cushion is configured to contact a housing encasing at least a portion of the device when the portable headset is in the stored state.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , wherein:
the body has a first portion and a second portion different from the first portion; the first portion is coupled to the device; and the second portion is configured to receive the head of the subject when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. The portable headset of claim 11 , further comprising a pivot hinge interposed between the first portion and the second portion such that the body is configured to fold about the pivot hinge to convert the portable headset between the deployed state and the stored state.
. The portable headset of claim 12 , further comprising a housing encasing at least a portion of the device, wherein the second portion contacts the housing when the portable headset is in the stored state.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , further comprising a head restraint configured to stabilize the received head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 14 , wherein the head restraint is configured to detach from an outer surface of the body while the portable headset is in the stored state and attach to an inner surface of the body when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. The portable headset of claim 15 , wherein a position of the head restraint along the body is adjustable by sliding the head restraint along one or more grooves in the inner surface of the body.
. The portable headset of claim 15 , wherein the head restraint extends upwards from the body and is adjacent the received head of the subject when the head restraint is attached to the inner surface of the body when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. The portable headset of claim 15 , wherein the head restraint is configured to be attached flat against the outer surface of the body such that the body is interposed between the head restraint and the device when the portable headset is in the stored state.
. The portable headset of claim 14 , wherein the head restraint comprises a padding configured to contact the received head of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 14 , wherein the head restraint comprises a strap loop configured to anchor a strap for contacting a forehead of the subject.
. The portable headset of claim 14 , wherein the head restraint and the device face one another such that the received head of the subject is interposed between the head restraint and the device when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , further comprising at least one of an electronic display, a user interactive element, a speaker, and a portable power supply.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , further comprising a handle extending from the body such that the portable headset is configured to be carried by the handle when the portable device is in the stored state.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , further comprising a housing encasing at least a portion of the device.
. The portable headset of claim 24 , further comprising a guard extending from the housing such that an inner surface of the body contacts the guard when the portable device is in the stored state.
. The portable device of claim 25 , wherein the guard is located adjacent to the transducer.
. The portable device of claim 1 , wherein the device is configured to be positioned at only a first side of the received head of the subject when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. The portable headset of claim 27 , wherein the device is configured to be positioned at only a second side of the received head of the subject opposite to the first side by rotating the portable headset 180 degrees.
. The portable headset of claim 1 , further comprising a layer of pliable material on an outer surface of the body such that the pliable material contacts a surface on which the portable headset rests when the portable headset is in the deployed state.
. A method for providing a portable headset, comprising:
providing a body such that the portable headset is configured to be in a stored state by folding the body, and in a deployed state by unfolding the body to receive a head of a subject; and providing a device comprising a transducer, the device configured to be adjacent the received head of the subject when the portable headset is in the deployed state.Cited by (0)
