Abstract

A real-time performance management may be used for cycling. A first computing device retrieves profile data related to a cyclist. The first computing device receives sensor readings from one or more sensors. A first sensor of the one or more sensors detects cyclist tilt. Profile data and the sensor readings from the one or more sensors determine cyclist status. A notification based on the determined cyclist status communicates to a user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for real-time performance management of cycling, the method comprising:
 retrieving, by a first computing device, profile data related to a cyclist; receiving, by the first computing device, sensor readings from one or more sensors, wherein a first sensor of the one or more sensors detects cyclist tilt; determining, based on the profile data and the sensor readings from the one or more sensors, cyclist status; and communicating, based on the determined cyclist status, a notification to a user.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first computing device is mounted to a frame of a bicycle of the cyclist, and wherein the determining the cyclist status is based on the tilt of the bicycle.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first sensor detects the cyclist tilt based on a calibration, and wherein the method further comprises:
 performing, by the first computing device and before the receiving the sensor readings from the one or more sensors, the calibration.

         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the retrieving the profile data comprises;
 prompting, by the first computing device, for a height of the cyclist by a user interface of the first computing device.

         5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the method further comprises:
 providing, by the first computing device, an option that allows the first computing device to enter into a training mode; detecting, by the first computing device and based on the sensor readings, the cyclist is currently riding; removing, by the first computing device and before the communicating the notification, a visual message from the notification; detecting, by the first computing device and based on an additional sensor reading, the riding by the cyclist has ended; and transmitting, by the first computing device and based on the detected riding by the cyclist has ended, the visual message.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communicating the notification to the user further comprises:
 transmitting, by the first computing device, the notification to a second computing device of a second user, and wherein the second user is an observer of the cyclist.

         7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a second of the one or more sensors is powered by a wireless charging device.

         8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises:
 updating, based on the determined cyclist status, the profile data related to the cyclist.

         9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communicating the notification comprises transmitting to a wearable device worn by the cyclist.
