Abstract
A device for a holster of a firearm includes at least one sensor adapted to detect the presence of the firearm in the holster. The device is further configured to communicate with an external device, so that the presence or not of the firearm in the holster can be communicated to the external device. A movement sensor adapted to detect a movement of the holster can also be integrated in the holster.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe invention claimed is:
1 .- 22 . (canceled)
23 . A device for a holster of a firearm comprising:
detecting means to detect a presence of the firearm in the holster, wherein the device is further configured to communicate with an external device, wherein the detecting means include a sensor of a magnetic or capacitive type, and wherein the sensor interacts with metallic parts of the firearm, generating a related signal of presence or not of the firearm in the holster.
24 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein two sensors are provided and arranged to further determine a speed of draw and retraction of the firearm.
25 . The device, as per claim 23 , further comprising movement means configured to detect a movement of the holster.
26 . The device, as per claim 25 , wherein the movement means are configured as a gyroscope or an accelerometer.
27 . The device, as per claim 25 , wherein the device is configured to receive a movement signal from the movement means and send the movement signal to the external device.
28 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device is further configured to send one or more data processed by the sensor to the external device, and to receive a signal of presence or absence of the firearm in the holster from the sensor of the magnetic o capacitive type and send the signal to the external device.
29 . The device, as per claim 23 , further comprising a memory is foreseen in which the one or more data are memorized, to be sent to the external device in a subsequent moment.
30 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device is configured to communicate in wireless modality with the external device.
31 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device comprises a SIM card for sending an SMS and/or for making a phone call to said external device.
32 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the external device is selected from the group consisting of a PC, a tablet, a watch, or a mobile telephony device.
33 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device further comprises a GPS device for communicating geo-localization to the external device.
34 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device further comprises an electronic screen.
35 . The device, as per claim 34 , wherein the electronic screen is a touch screen.
36 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device further comprises a microphone.
37 . The device, as per claim 23 , wherein the device further comprises a USB input.
38 . A holster forming a cavity for lodging a firearm and comprising a device according to claim 23 .
39 . A belt loop for a holster comprising a device according to claim 23 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
