Abstract

The present disclosure is generally related to a solar array kit for installation on a support structure, such as a roof. The kit includes photovoltaic panels that include active elements, edge pieces that connected around and to the photovoltaic panels, a starter piece, and one or more electrical connectors that electrically connect the photovoltaic panels to one another.

         1 . A solar array kit for installation on a structure, comprising:
 a plurality of photovoltaic panels;   a plurality of edge panels connectable to one or more of the photovoltaic panels;   a plurality of end pieces connectable to the one or more edge panels;   a starter piece connectable to at least one of the plurality of photovoltaic panels; and   one or more electrical connectors that electrically connect the photovoltaic panels to one another.
