Abstract
Pharmaceutical compositions are disclosed that includes a therapeutically effective amount of a purified viable gram negative bacteria and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The pharmaceutical compositions are formulated for topical administration. Methods of treating atopic dermatitis using these pharmaceutical compositions are also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A pharmaceutical composition, comprising
at least one species of gram negative bacteria isolated from skin of a subject that does not have atopic dermatitis, wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria is present in an amount sufficient for treatment of atopic dermatitis in a subject in need thereof; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the pharmaceutical composition is formulated in a topical dosage form selected from a cream, gel, foam, ointment and a lotion.
2 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria comprises a species of Pseudomonas.
3 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 2 , wherein the species of Pseudomonas is Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas luteola, or Pseudomonas orbyhabitans.
4 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria comprises a species of Pantoea.
5 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 4 , wherein the species of Pantoea is Pantoea septica.
6 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria comprises a species of Moraxella.
7 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 6 , wherein the species of Moraxella is Moraxella osloensis.
8 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria comprises Acinetobacter radioresistens, Moraxella osloensis, Pantoea septica, Pseudomonas luteola, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas oryzibhabitns, or Methylobacterium spp.
9 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria is present in an amount of 10 4 to 10 12 colony forming units
10 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria is viable.
11 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria is purified.
12 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria comprises up to three strains of a single species of gram negative bacteria.
13 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one species of gram negative bacteria comprises up to five strains of a single species of gram negative bacteria.
14 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable carrier comprises sucrose.
15 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 12 , wherein the single species of gram negative bacteria is Acinetobacter radioresistens, Moraxella osloensis, Pantoea septica, Pseudomonas luteola, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, or Pseudomonas oryzibhabitns.
22 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 13 , wherein the single species of gram negative bacteria is Acinetobacter radioresistens, Moraxella osloensis, Pantoea septica, Pseudomonas luteola, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, or Pseudomonas oryzibhabitns.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
