Abstract
An air handling unit has an interior shell, an exterior skin associated with the interior shell to form a wall space at least partially bound by each of the interior shell and the exterior skin, and a control component at least partially carried within the wall space. A cabinet for an air handling unit has at least one wall comprising an interior shell and an exterior skin associated with the interior shell to form a wall space at least partially bound by each of the interior shell and the exterior skin. The at least one wall at least partially defines a fluid duct of the cabinet and a control component is at least partially disposed within the wall space.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An air handling unit comprising:
a heat exchanger cabinet comprising:
a shell positioned along a first side of the heat exchanger cabinet; and
an enclosure disposed within the shell, wherein the enclosure is configured to receive a control component for the air handling unit.
2 . The air handling unit of claim 1 , wherein the enclosure comprises a front wall, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a cover.
3 . The air handling unit of claim 2 , wherein the cover is attached to each of the front wall, the rear wall, the upper wall, and the lower wall.
4 . The air handling unit of claim 3 , further comprising the control component, wherein the control component is positioned within the enclosure.
5 . The air handling unit of claim 4 , wherein the front wall comprises an aperture configured to receive the control component within the enclosure.
6 . The air handling unit of claim 5 , wherein insulation is disposed within the enclosure.
7 . The air handling unit of claim 6 , wherein the insulation is a polyurethane foam.
8 . The air handling unit of claim 2 , wherein at least one of the front wall, the rear wall, the upper wall, and the lower wall is integral with the shell.
9 . The air handling unit of claim 5 , wherein the cover comprises a lateral ramp and a vertical ramp, wherein each of the lateral ramp and the vertical ramp is configured to guide the control component into the enclosure.
10 . The air handling unit of claim 9 , wherein the control component is bound by at least one of the lateral ramp and the vertical ramp, and at least one of the front wall, the rear wall, the upper wall, and the lower wall.
11 . An air handling unit comprising:
a heat exchanger cabinet comprising:
a shell positioned along a first side of the heat exchanger cabinet; and
an enclosure disposed within the shell, wherein the enclosure comprises an aperture configured to receive a control component.
12 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , wherein the enclosure further comprises a front wall, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a cover, wherein the front wall comprises the aperture.
13 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , wherein insulation and the control component are disposed within the enclosure.
14 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , wherein a blower assembly is positioned below the enclosure.
15 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , wherein a heater assembly is positioned above the enclosure.
16 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , wherein a refrigeration coil assembly is positioned adjacent to the enclosure.
17 . The air handling unit of claim 12 , wherein the rear wall comprises recessed sections.
18 . The air handling unit of claim 17 , wherein removable grommets are positioned within the recessed sections to provide watertight seals.
19 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , wherein the control component is positioned on a carrier.
20 . The air handling unit of claim 19 , wherein the carrier is configured for insertion into the enclosure via the aperture.Cited by (0)
