Laundry treating apparatus

Abstract

A laundry treating apparatus is disclosed, which is provided with a first treating apparatus washing laundry, a second treating apparatus washing laundry, and a third treating apparatus drying laundry.

1 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
 a body;   a first through hole provided on an upper surface of the body, the first through hole closeable by a first door mounted on the upper surface of the body;   a second through hole provided on a front surface of the body;   a first tub provided inside the body and having a first tub inlet communicating with the first through hole, storing water therein; and   a first drum rotatably provided in the first tub and having a first drum inlet communicating with the first tub inlet, the first drum receiving laundry through the first drum inlet;   a first drum rotational shaft connecting a first rotor with a bottom surface of the first drum by passing through a bottom surface of the first tub;   a drawer provided inside the body under the first tub and configured to extendable from and retractable into the body through the second through hole;   a second tub provided in the drawer, storing water therein;   a second tub inlet provided on an upper surface of the second tub, the second tub inlet closeable by a second door; and   a second drum rotatably provided in the second tub and having a second drum inlet communicating with the second tub inlet, the second drum receiving laundry through the second drum inlet; and   a second drum rotational shaft connecting a bottom surface of the second drum with a second rotor by passing through a bottom surface of the second tub,   wherein the first drum rotational shaft and the second drum rotational shaft are arranged vertically when the drawer is retracted into the body.   
     
     
         2 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first drum rotational shaft is configured to be orthogonal to the bottom of the first tub, and
 the second drum rotational shaft is configured to be orthogonal to the bottom of the second tub.   
     
     
         3 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first drum rotational shaft is controlled to have a rotational direction different from that of the second drum rotational shaft when the first drum rotational shaft and the second drum rotational shaft are rotated at the same time. 
     
     
         4 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the height of the first tub is configured to be longer than the height of the second tub. 
     
     
         5 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the diameter of the first tub is configured to be equal or longer than the diameter of the second tub. 
     
     
         6 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the volume of the first tub is configured to be greater than the volume of the second tub. 
     
     
         7 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the body comprises:
 a first cabinet providing a space for the first tub and having the first through hole; and   a second cabinet configured to support a bottom surface of the first cabinet, the second cabinet providing a space for the drawer and having the second through hole.
