Claims

Abstract

In some embodiments, a scooter comprises a deck configured to support a rider, a front wheel and a rear wheel, a head tube, a steering column, and a foot brake. The steering column can include a steering tube and a handlebar assembly, and the steering column can be used to steer the scooter by controlling a direction of the front wheel. The foot brake can be configured to apply a braking force to the rear wheel when the foot brake is pressed down. A plurality of neck members can connect the deck to the head tube.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A scooter, comprising:
 a deck configured to support a rider;   a front wheel;   a rear wheel;   a head tube;   a steering column supported for rotation relative to the head tube and comprising a steering tube and a handlebar assembly, the steering column configured to steer the scooter by controlling a direction of the front wheel;   a plurality of neck members that couple the head tube to the deck, wherein the plurality of neck members are coupled to the deck at spaced lateral locations.   
     
     
         2 . The scooter of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of neck members comprises three neck members, wherein two of the neck members extend laterally from the head tube and one of the neck members is centrally located. 
     
     
         3 . The scooter of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of neck members are coupled to one or the other of an upper base section and a lower base section. 
     
     
         4 . The scooter of  claim 3 , wherein at least one of the plurality of neck members is coupled to the upper base section and at least one of the plurality of neck members is coupled to the lower base section. 
     
     
         5 . The scooter of  claim 3 , wherein the upper base section and the lower base section receive a portion of the deck between them.
