Abstract

A lighting system includes a light fixture emitting illumination and a light switch in communication with the light fixture. The light switch has an actuator member. A controller is in communication with the light switch. A website is in communication with the controller where an individual may use the website to communicate to the controller a plurality of illumination settings including but not limited to an initial illumination level, a pre-set illumination level, an incremental increase illumination level, an incremental decrease illumination level, and a termination of illumination. Manipulation of the actuator changes the illumination setting for illumination emitted from the light fixture.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A lighting system comprising:
a plurality of light fixtures emitting illumination and at least one light switch in communication with said plurality of light fixtures, each of said at least one light switches having an actuator member, each of said plurality of light fixtures having a light fixture identifier, each of said plurality of light fixtures comprising light emitting diodes and an optical transceiver comprising a photodetector, wherein said optical transceiver is constructed and arranged to provide pulsed light communication embedded within said illumination in the visible spectrum; a controller in communication with each of said at least one light switches; a website in communication with said controller, said website communicating to said controller a plurality of illumination settings for said plurality of light fixtures and each of said at least one light switches, said illumination settings comprising an initial illumination level; a pre-set illumination level, an incremental increase illumination level, an incremental decrease illumination level, and a termination of illumination, wherein manipulation of said actuator changes an illumination setting for said illumination emitted from at least one of said plurality of light fixtures wherein said changed illumination setting is communicated from said at least one light switch to said controller and to said website; and at least one power distribution unit in electrical communication with said plurality of light fixtures, said at least one power distribution unit having a power unit controller, said power unit controller constructed and arranged to meter or record electricity being used by said plurality of light fixtures.

2 . The lighting system according to claim 1 , wherein said illumination settings further comprise a second pre-set illumination level.

3 . The lighting system according to claim 2 , wherein said controller comprises memory, said memory comprising said plurality of illumination settings.

4 . The lighting system according to claim 3 , wherein said memory comprises said light fixture identifier.

5 . The lighting system according to claim 4 , wherein said actuator member has an initial operative position, an activation and release operative position, and an activation and hold operative position.

6 . The lighting system according to claim 5 , wherein said activation and release operative position changes said illumination setting.

7 . The lighting system according to claim 6 , wherein said activation and hold operative position changes said illumination setting.

         8 . A lighting system comprising:
a plurality of light fixtures emitting illumination and at least one light switch in communication with said plurality of light fixtures, each of said at least one light switch having an actuator member, each of said plurality of light fixtures having a light fixture identifier, each of said plurality of light fixtures comprising light emitting diodes and an optical transceiver comprising a photodetector, wherein said optical transceiver is constructed and arranged to provide pulsed light communication embedded within said illumination in the visible spectrum; a controller in communication with each of said at least one light switch and each of said plurality of light fixtures; a website in communication with said controller, said website communicating to said controller a plurality of illumination settings, said illumination settings comprising an initial illumination level; a first pre-set illumination level, a second pre-set illumination level; an incremental increase illumination level, an incremental decrease illumination level, and a termination of illumination, and combinations thereof, wherein manipulation of said actuator member changes an illumination setting for said illumination emitted from at least one of said plurality of light fixtures; and at least one power distribution unit in electrical communication with said plurality of light fixtures, said at least one power distribution unit having a power unit controller, said power unit controller constructed and arranged to meter or record electricity being used by said plurality of light fixtures.

9 . The lighting system according to claim 8 , wherein said controller comprises memory, said memory comprising said plurality of illumination settings.

10 . The lighting system according to claim 9 , wherein said memory comprises said light fixture identifier.

11 . The lighting system according to claim 10 , wherein said actuator member has an initial operative position, an activation and release operative position, and an activation and hold operative position.

12 . The lighting system according to claim 11 , wherein said activation and release operative position changes said illumination setting.

13 . The lighting system according to claim 12 , wherein said activation and hold operative position changes said illumination setting.
