Abstract

A package, system and methods allow for custody and control of drugs, especially for an abuse-prone drug. A package for custody and control of a dose of an active agent, includes a unit dose of an active agent, and an individual package sealing the unit dose therein, the package having a custody and control product identifier unique to each unit dose provided on the package. A system for custody and control of a dose of an active agent, includes an individual package of one unit dose of an active agent, the package having a custody and control product identifier unique to each unit dose provided on the package, and a database containing data reflecting the custody and control identifier corresponding to each unit dose and an identifier configured to be able to identify the party to whom each unit dose is provided.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A system for custody and control of a dose of an active agent, comprising:
a plurality of packages, each package containing a single unit dose of an active agent, each package having a custody and control identifier comprising an RFID unique to each unit dose and different from each other unit dose provided in the package; and a database containing data reflecting the custody and control identifier corresponding to each unit dose and an identifier configured to be able to identify the party to whom each unit dose is provided.

2 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the dose is in the form of a film.

3 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the dose is in the form of a liquid solution, a liquid suspension, an emulsion, a gel, a jelly, a jam or a gelatin.

4 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein the dose further comprises a desiccant, an oxidative agent, and/or a photolysis agent.

5 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein a plurality of the packages are joined together in a group of packages.

6 . The system according to claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of packages is separate.

7 . A system for custody and control of a dose of an active agent, comprising:
a plurality of packages, each package containing a single unit dose of an active agent, each package having a custody and control identifier unique to each unit dose readable by radio and different from each other unit dose provided in the package; and a database containing data reflecting the custody and control identifier corresponding to each unit dose and an identifier configured to be able to identify the party to whom each unit dose is provided.

8 . The system according to claim 7 , wherein the dose is in the form of a film.

9 . The system according to claim 7 , wherein the dose is in the form of a liquid solution, a liquid suspension, an emulsion, a gel, a jelly, a jam or a gelatin.

10 . The system according to claim 7 , wherein the dose further comprises a desiccant, an oxidative agent, and/or a photolysis agent.

11 . The system according to claim 7 , wherein a plurality of the packages are joined together in a group of packages.

12 . The system according to claim 7 , wherein each of the plurality of packages is separate.

13 . A system for custody and control of a dose of an active agent, comprising:
a tablet or capsule with a buried, ingestible tag with a custody and control identifier readable by radio; and a database containing data reflecting the custody and control identifier corresponding to the buried, ingestible tag in each tablet or capsule configured to be able to identify the party to whom each unit dose is provided.

14 . A system for custody and control of a dose of an active agent, comprising:
a plurality of packages, each package containing a unit dose of an active agent, each package having a custody and control identifier unique to each unit dose provided on the package, the custody control identifier unique to each unit dose being located at least on the inside surface of the package; and a database containing data reflecting the custody and control identifier corresponding to each unit dose and an identifier configured to be able to identify the party to whom each unit dose is provided.

15 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein the dose is in the form of a film.

16 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein the dose is in the form of a liquid solution, a liquid suspension, an emulsion, a gel, a jelly, a jam or a gelatin.

17 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein the dose further comprises a desiccant, an oxidative agent, and/or a photolysis agent.

18 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein a plurality of the packages are joined together in a group of packages.

19 . The system according to claim 14 , wherein each of the plurality of packages is separate.
