Abstract

This application describes the use of the compound or a salt thereof, either alone or in combination with other therapeutically active agents, for the treatment of particular cancers, including any solid or hematological cancer in which AXL or c-Met is over-expressed.

         28 . A method of treating non-small cell lung cancer in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a combination of (i) erlotinib or gefitinib, and (ii) a compound having the structure of: 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
       
       or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the non-small cell lung cancer is resistant or insensitive to treatment with one or more EGFR inhibitors. 
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the one or more EGFR inhibitors are erlotinib and/or gefitinib. 
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the one or more EGFR inhibitors is erlotinib. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the one or more EGFR inhibitors is gefitinib. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is administered to the subject from one to four times daily. 
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 32 , wherein the compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is administered to the subject in an amount from about 10 mg/kg to about 55 mg/kg.
