Abstract
The invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating vascular deficiencies, including those in diabetic subjects, by transplanting endothelial progenitor cells with transiently reduced p53 expression.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 - 15 . (canceled)
16 . A composition comprising
an endothelial progenitor cell genetically modified to have transiently reduced p53 expression for about 2-4 weeks.
17 . The composition of claim 16 , wherein the endothelial progenitor cell is a CD34+ cell.
18 . The composition of claim 17 , wherein the CD34+ cell is obtained from blood.
19 . The composition of claim 17 , wherein the endothelial progenitor cell expresses p53-specific siRNA.
20 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the p53-specific siRNA is expressed from a non-integrating vector.
21 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the p53-specific siRNA is expressed from an adenovirus.Cited by (0)
