Abstract

A vertical wall mount system is provided that is easily installed in a perfectly level and plumb manner and is further cable of being design to be completely waterproof, interchangeable and customizable to include endless additional features. The vertical wall mount system includes two main components: a sub-frame assembly and a panel frame assembly. The sub-frame assembly includes mounting clips for pivotal attachment to a wall frame, such as, a standard 2×4 stud. Horizontal wall rails are mounted on the mounting clips to create the sub-frame assembly. The horizontal wall rails are designed to support a panel assembly on the horizontal wall rails, which may, for example, include a tile panel. The panel assembly includes a panel frame secured to the back side of the panel, which panel assembly is designed to hang on the horizontal wall rails of the sub-frame assembly.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A shower panel assembly system for mounting a shower panel assembly to vertical studs of a wall frame, the shower panel assembly system comprising:
a shower panel having a front side and a generally flat rear side, where the shower panel has a decorative surface on the front side of the panel; at least one horizontal rail having a rear channel and a front surface, where the front surface of the at least one horizontal rail is attached to the generally flat rear side of the shower panel; and at least two mounting member positioned on vertical mounts and having a front mount and a back mount, where the back mount includes at least one mechanism for securing the mounting member to a wall frame and where the front mount of the mounting member engages with the rear channel of the at least one horizontal rail.

2 . The assembly system of claim 2 where the mounting member is an elongated rail member.

3 . The assembly system of claim 2 where the shower panel assembly includes opposing perimeter side rails secured to the rear surface of the shower panel and where the at least one horizontal rail extends between the opposing perimeter side rails.

4 . A shower panel assembly system for mounting a shower panel assembly to vertical studs of a wall frame, the shower panel assembly system comprising:
a shower panel having a front side and a generally flat rear side, where the shower panel has a decorative surface on the front side of the panel; at least one rail having a rear channel and a front surface, where the front surface of the at least one rail is attached to the generally flat rear side of the shower panel; and at least two mounting clips, each designed to be mounted on a wall frame in horizontal alignment with one another and each having a front mounting member, where the front mounting member fits within the rear channel of the at least one rail for engaging the rear channel of the rail and securing the shower panel against the wall frame.

5 . The assembly system of claim 4 where the shower panel assembly includes opposing perimeter side rails mounted on the rear surface of the shower panel and where the at least one rail is a horizontal rail mounted on the rear surface of the decorative shower panel extending perpendicular to, and between, the opposing perimeter side rails.

6 . A shower panel assembly system for mounting a shower panel assembly to vertical studs of a wall frame, the shower panel assembly system comprising:
a shower panel having a front side and a generally flat rear side, where the shower panel has a decorative surface on the front side of the panel and where the shower panel assembly includes opposing perimeter side rails secured to the rear surface of the shower panel and having at least two horizontal rails positioned parallel to one another and extending between the opposing perimeter side rails; where the at least one horizontal panel rail has a rear channel and a generally flat front surface, where the generally flat front surface of the at least one horizontal panel rail is attached to the generally flat rear side of the shower panel; and at least two rails having upwardly extending flange members that fits within the rear channel of the at least one horizontal panel rail and where the rear channel of the at least one horizontal panel rail fits over the upwardly extending flange member of the at least one horizontal wall rail for supporting the weight of the at least one horizontal panel rail and the shower panel assembly when the shower panel assembly is engaged on the front surface of the at least one horizontal panel rail.
