Abstract

Disclosed are compositions and methods related to eukaryotic microorganisms that can produce unsaturated fatty acids which can be purified and used.

         101 . A lipid composition comprising from 25 wt. % to 40 wt. % of n-3 DHA, from 6 wt. % to 10 wt. % n-6 DPA, and from 0 wt. % to 3 wt. % of n-3 EPA. 
     
     
         102 . The lipid composition of claim  1 , wherein further comprising 11 wt. % to 15 wt. % of myristic acid. 
     
     
         103 . The lipid composition of claim  1 , wherein further comprising 3 wt. % to 7 wt. % of palmitoleic acid.

         106 . The lipid composition of any one of claims  1  to  5 , wherein said lipid composition further comprising an effective amount of at least one added antioxidant to provide oxidative stability.
