Abstract
A multiprocessor system includes multiple processors configured to run applications, and a dynamic configuration system operating independently on one or more of the multiple processors. The dynamic configuration system is configured to automatically incorporate new processors into the multiprocessor system for communication with one or more of the multiple processors. The dynamic configuration system automatically reconfigures the multiprocessor system in real-time to run at least one application normally run on one or more of the multiple processor to run on one or more of the automatically incorporated new processors.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A multiprocessor system, comprising:
multiple processors configured to run applications; and a dynamic configuration system operating independently on one or more of the multiple processors, configured to:
automatically incorporate new processors into the multiprocessor system for communication with the one or more of the multiple processors; and
automatically reconfigure the multiprocessor system in real-time to run at least one application normally run on the one or more of the multiple processors to run on one or more of the automatically incorporated new processors.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the multiprocessor system is for use in at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the multiple processors are located within at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more of the automatically incorporated new processors are located within or remote to at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more of the automatically incorporated new processors are included within one or more of a smartphone, tablet, laptop, audio device, navigation device, personal computer, and remote server.
6 . A multiprocessor system, comprising:
multiple processors; a dynamic configuration system operating independently on one or more of the multiple processors; a device manager for automatically detecting and adding one or more new devices to the multiprocessor system; a configuration manager operable to automatically reconfigure the multiprocessor system to run real-time applications on the one or more of the multiple processors; and a data manager operable to identify data generated by the one or more new devices and to identify one or more of the multiple processors in the multiprocessor system that can at least one of input and output the identified data.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the multiprocessor system is for use in at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
8 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the one or more of the multiple processors are located within or in proximity to the at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
9 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the one or more of the new devices comprise one or more of a smartphone, tablet, laptop, audio device, navigation device, personal computer, and remote server.
10 . A multiprocessor method, comprising:
configuring multiple processors to run applications; using a dynamic configuration system operating independently on one or more of the multiple processors, configured to:
automatically incorporate new processors into the dynamic configuration system for communication with the one or more of the multiple processors,
automatically reconfigure the dynamic configuration system in real-time to run at least one application normally run on the one or more of the multiple processor to run on one or more of the automatically incorporated new processors.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the dynamic configuration system is for use in at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the multiple processors are located within at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the automatically incorporated new processors are located within or remote to at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the automatically incorporated new processors are included within one or more of a smartphone, tablet, laptop, audio device, navigation device, personal computer, and remote server.
15 . A multiprocessor method, comprising:
using multiple processors; operating a dynamic configuration system independently on one or more of the multiple processors; using a device manager for automatically detecting and adding one or more new devices to the dynamic configuration system; using a configuration manager operable to automatically reconfigure the dynamic configuration system to run real-time applications on the one or more of the multiple processors; and using a data manager operable to identify data generated by the one or more new devices and to identify one or more of the multiple processors in the dynamic configuration system that can at least one of input and output the identified data.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the dynamic configuration system is for use in at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the one or more of the multiple processors are located at least one of within and in proximity to at least one of a vehicle, a home, and a business.
18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the one or more of the new devices comprise one or more of a smartphone, tablet, laptop, audio device, navigation device, personal computer, and remote server.Cited by (0)
