Abstract

The invention relates to a drug comprising at least one insulin and at least one GLP-1 receptor agonist.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 : An injectable device comprising a pharmaceutical formulation, wherein the pharmaceutical formulation comprises a combination of:
 (1) a GLP-1 receptor agonist, and (2) an insulin; wherein the device is capable of selecting the dosage of the GLP-1 receptor agonist independently of the dosage of the insulin, and wherein the device is capable of administering a combination of the selected dosage of the GLP-1 receptor agonist and the selected dosage of the insulin in essentially the same volume as the selected dosage of the insulin alone.

         2 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the GLP-1 receptor agonist is GLP-1, exendin-3, exendin-4, or a derivative thereof.

         3 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the GLP-1 receptor agonist is desPro 36 exendin-4(1-39)-Lys 6 -NH 2 (AVE0010).

4 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the GLP-1 receptor agonist is Arg34,Lys26(Nε(γ-glutamyl(Nα-hexadecanoyl)))GLP-1(7-37) (liraglutide).

5 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the insulin is an insulin derivative.

6 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the insulin is an insulin analog.

7 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the insulin is insulin aspart, insulin lispro, or insulin detemir.

8 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the insulin is insulin glargine.

9 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the concentration of insulin is about 40-500 units/mL.

10 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the concentration of GLP-1 receptor agonist is about 40-500 units/mL.

11 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the insulin is administered at a dosage of 5 to 100 U.

12 : The device of claim 1 , wherein the GLP-1 receptor agonist is administered at a dosage of 5 μg to 2 mg.
