Abstract

This invention relates to the new use of the compound (I) or pharmaceutical acceptable salts thereof and pharmaceutical compositions containing it for the treatment of pruritus and to combinations for such a use.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of treatment of chronic pruritus, wherein the pruritus is due to or associated with prurigo nodularis said method comprising administering to a human in need thereof an effective amount of 2-(R)-(5 4-Fluoro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(S)-((8aS)-6-oxo-hexahydro-pyrrolo[1,2a]-pyrazin-2-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid [1-(R)-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-methylamide (orvepitant) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

2 . A method of treatment according to claim 1 , wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable salt of orvepitant is maleate.

3 . A method of treatment according to claim 1 , wherein the compound is orvepitant maleate as anhydrous crystalline form.

4 . A method of treatment of chronic pruritus, wherein the pruritus is due to or associated with prurigo nodularis said method comprising administering to a human in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising 2-(R)-(5 4-Fluoro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(S)-((8aS)-6-oxo-hexahydro-pyrrolo[1,2-a]-pyrazin-2-yl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid [1-(R)-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-methylamide (orvepitant) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers or excipients.
