Abstract
A double locking safety pin which has two different locking pin portions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A double hooking safety pin, comprising:
a pin pivoting structure having a first pivoting pin portion, having an extended rod that ends in a pointed portion, and a second pivoting pin portion having a second extended rod that ends in a second pointed portion, said first pivoting pin portion pivoting separate from said second pivoting pin portion, a first safety cover portion having a first internal surface that receives said first pin therein, and defining a first open portion allowing said first pin to tuck in to said first internal surface; a second safety cover portion having a second internal surface that receives said second pin therein and defining a second open portion allowing said second pin to tuck into said second internal surface, configured such that when said first and second pins are tucked into said first and second internal surfaces, said first and second pins are parallel to one another; and a structure extending between said pivot portion and said safety cover portion, and defining a separation between said pivot portion and said safety cover portion, said structure extending along an axis between said pivot portion and said safety cover.
2 . The pin as in claim 1 , wherein said axis along which said rigid structural portion extends is parallel to an axis of said first and second pins when tucked into the respective first and second internal surfaces.
3 . The pin as in claim 1 , wherein said first and second safety cover portion are connected to one another collectively defining a single safety cover with said first and second safety cover portions extending there from.
4 . The pin as in claim 1 , wherein said first and second safety cover portions are separate from one another.
5 . The pin as in claim 4 , wherein said first and second safety cover portions are identical in structure to one another.
6 . The pin as in claim 1 , wherein said first and second safety cover portions are contained within a single structure that is bilaterally symmetrical and includes a first internal surface on a first side thereof and a second internal surface on the second side thereof.
7 . The pin as in claim 1 , wherein said structure is covered with a structural cover portion that protects and strengthens the structure.Cited by (0)
