Abstract
Embodiments herein provide an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) method for performing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based communication in a wireless communication system, comprising allocating by an OFDM apparatus a resource for data in a two-step frequency-domain assignment process as (a) indicating at least one subband, and (b) indicating at least one Resource Blocks (RBs) within the at least one subband.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) method for performing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based communication in a wireless communication system, comprising:
allocating by an OFDM apparatus a resource for data in a two-step frequency-domain assignment process as:
(a) indicating at least one subband, and
(b) indicating at least one Resource Blocks (RBs) within the at least one subband.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one subband is based on a first bitmap and the at least one RB within the at least one subband is based on a second bitmap.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first bitmap indicates a location of at least one numerology and the second bitmap indicates a location of the data within the at least one numerology.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first bitmap corresponds search space that contains the second bitmap to identify a location of the data in the at least one subband of a carrier bandwidth.
5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein a combination of the first bitmap and the second bitmap is used to identify a location of the data in the at least one subband of a carrier bandwidth.
6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first bitmap is one of a one-to-one mapping of bits and a group of bits mapping to an index.
7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the second bitmap is one of a one-to-one mapping of bits and a group of bits mapping to an index.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of RBs in each of the subbands is determined based on a numerology associated with corresponding subband.
9 . An Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) apparatus for performing Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based communication in a wireless communication system, comprising:
a memory; a processor; and a mixed-numerology scheduler, coupled to the memory and the processor, configured for: allocating by an OFDM apparatus a resource for data in a two-step frequency-domain assignment process as:
(a) indicating at least one subband, and
(b) indicating at least one Resource Blocks (RBs) within the at least one subband.
10 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the at least one subband is based on a first bitmap and the at least one RB within the at least one subband is based on a second bitmap.
11 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first bitmap indicates a location of at least one numerology and the second bitmap indicates a location of the data within the at least one numerology.
12 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first bitmap corresponds search space that contains the second bitmap to identify a location of the data in the at least one subband of a carrier bandwidth.
13 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 10 , wherein a combination of the first bitmap and the second bitmap is used to identify a location of the data in the at least one subband of a carrier bandwidth.
14 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first bitmap is one of a one-to-one mapping of bits and a group of bits mapping to an index.
15 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the second bitmap is one of a one-to-one mapping of bits and a group of bits mapping to an index.
16 . The OFDMA apparatus of claim 9 , wherein a number of RB's in each of the subbands is determined based on a numerology associated with corresponding subband.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
