Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices secure content in memory. The content includes a lock that prohibits reading the content from memory. Prior to expiration of the lock the content cannot be read from the memory. However, a preview option allows at least a portion of the content to be accessed. The preview option provides a preview of the content. At expiration, the content is readable.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by a server providing a streaming service, a request associated with a device requesting an access to a video content; determining, by the server providing the streaming service, that the access to the video content is restricted until an expiration of a date and time; determining, by the server providing the streaming service, that a preview of the video content is available prior to the expiration of the date and time; and streaming, by the server providing the streaming service, the preview to the device in response to the request.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising prompting for the preview of the video content.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a selection requesting the preview of the video content.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising processing a payment for the preview of the video content.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising processing a payment for the streaming service.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising scheduling a prompt associated with the preview of the video content.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising accessing the preview of the video content.

         8 . A system, comprising:
a hardware processor; and a memory device, the memory device storing code, the code when executed causing the hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: receiving a request associated with a streaming service from a device requesting a streaming access to a video content; determining that the streaming access to the video content is restricted until an expiration of a date and time; determining that a preview of the video content is available prior to the expiration of the date and time; and streaming the preview to the device in response to the request.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise prompting for the preview of the video content.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving a selection requesting the preview of the video content.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise processing a payment for the preview of the video content.

12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise processing a payment for the streaming service.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise scheduling a prompt associated with the preview of the video content.

14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise accessing the preview of the video content.

15 . A memory device storing instructions which when executed cause a hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
receiving a request associated with a streaming service from a device requesting a streaming access to a video content; determining that the streaming access to the video content is restricted until an expiration of a date and time; determining that a preview of the video content is available prior to the expiration of the date and time; and streaming the preview to the device in response to the request.

16 . The memory device of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise prompting for the preview of the video content.

17 . The memory device of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving a selection requesting the preview of the video content.

18 . The memory device of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise processing a payment for the preview of the video content.

19 . The memory device of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise processing a payment for the streaming service.

20 . The memory device of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise accessing the preview of the video content.
