Abstract

A finger protection structure includes a plurality of abutment blocks arranged on an adhesive surface of a base plate in a straight line, abutting against one another and defining a plurality of elastic deformation areas on the adhesive surface such that the finger protection structure is bendable forward, twisted and/or bendable in left-and right directions partially due to a flexibility constituted by presence of corner cut portions of the abutment blocks, the deformation areas on the adhesive surface of the base plate and flexibility of the base plate, thereby eliminating the problems resulted from a frontal and rotational lateral impact applied on the stressed surface of the base plate. The finger protection structure has simple structure, is ergonomically constructed and is capable of buffering and absorbing the frontal impact and rotating lateral impact, thereby minimizing injuries to the hands of the wearer of a protection hand glove.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A finger protection structure with corner cut portions, comprising:
at least one base plate having a certain extent of flexibility, having an adhesive surface and a stressed surface opposite to said adhesive surface; and a plurality of abutment blocks arranged on said adhesive surface of said base plate in a straight line and abutting against one another and concealing said adhesive surface, each of said abutment blocks having two opposite abutting sides, each of which is formed with two corner cut portions, said corner cut portions between adjacent two of said abutment blocks defining an elastic deformation area on said adhesive surface; wherein, the finger protection structure is bendable forward and left-and right directions partially due to a flexibility constituted by presence said corner cut portions of said abutment blocks, said deformation areas on said adhesive surface of said base plate and flexibility of said base plate.

2 . The finger protection structure according to claim 1 , comprising a plurality of said base plates, each is elongated and has an insert end capable of inserting into a finger insert sleeves of a protective hand glove.

3 . The finger protection structure according to claim 2 , wherein said corner cut portions between adjacent two of said abutment blocks further define a gap therebetween such that said elastic deformation area on said adhesive surface is exposed to an exterior of said base plate via said gap such that the finger protection structure is capable of performing a first action when a frontal impact is applied on said stressed surface of said base plate, in which said base plate extends in a straight line due to tight abutment among said abutting sides; a second action when a wearer bends his finger forward, in which said base plate is bendable toward said stressed surface due to a flexibility constituted by presence of said gaps between adjacent two of said corner cut portions of said abutment blocks, said deformation areas on said adhesive surface of said base plate and flexibility of said base plate, and a third action when a frontal and rotational lateral impact is applied on said stressed surface of said base plate 10 , in which said base plate is twisted and/or bendable in left-and right directions partially and resulting variation in dimension of said gap and said deformation areas.

4 . The finger protection structure according to claim 1 , wherein said base plate is made from flexible materials.

5 . The finger protection structure according to claim 1 , wherein said base plate has a pair of longitudinal sides, each of said abutment blocks further has two opposite sides flushed respectively with said longitudinal sides of said base plate such that said corner cut portions between adjacent two of said abutment blocks and said elastic deformation area on said base plate cooperatively define two triangles located above said deformation area.

6 . The finger protection structure according to claim 1 , wherein each of said corner cut portions of a respective one of said abutment blocks is a slanted face with respect to said base plate.

7 . The finger protection structure according to claim 6 , wherein said corner cut portions between adjacent two of said abutment blocks share a common side which cooperates with two of said slanted faces of adjacent two of said abutment blocks defining an angle ranging between 90° to 180°.

8 . The finger protection structure according to claim 6 , wherein the slanted face of the corner cut portion is a planar surface, a concave surface, or a convex surface.

9 . The finger protection structure according to claim 1 , wherein each of said abutment blocks is an octagonal block, has a bottom side disposed on said adhesive surface of said base plate and a top side formed with a protrusion, each of said corner cut portions is in shape of a sheet.

10 . The finger protection structure according to claim 2 , further comprising a fixing plate capable of being inserted into a protection hand glove, each of said base plates has a coupler end opposite to said insert end, said coupler end being able to coupled with said fixing plate.
