Claims

Abstract

The present invention relates to a cooling system for an oven door ( 14 ) of a cooking oven ( 10 ). The cooling system includes at least one cooling fan ( 20 ). The cooling system includes at least one suction channel ( 16 ), wherein an outlet of said suction channel ( 16 ) is connected to an inlet of the cooling fan ( 20 ). An inlet of the suction channel ( 16 ) is aligned with a suction hole ( 30 ) of the oven door ( 14 ) in a closed state of said oven door ( 14 ). The cooling system includes at least one exhaust channel ( 18 ), wherein an inlet of said exhaust channel ( 18 ) is connected to an outlet of the cooling fan ( 20 ). An outlet of the exhaust channel ( 18 ) is aligned with a Venturi opening ( 32 ) of the oven door ( 14 ) in the closed state of said oven door ( 14 ).

1 . A cooling system for an oven door of a cooking oven, comprising:
 a cooling fan,   at least one suction channel,   an outlet of the suction channel being connected to a first inlet of the cooling fan,   an inlet of the at least one suction channel being aligned with at least one suction hole of the oven door in a closed state of said oven door,   at least one exhaust channel,   an inlet of the at least one exhaust channel being connected to an outlet of the cooling fan, and   an outlet of the at least one exhaust channel being aligned with at least one Venturi opening of the oven door in the closed state of said oven door.   
     
     
         2 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , wherein said first inlet of the cooling fan is arranged axially to an impeller of said cooling fan, while the outlet of the cooling fan is arranged radially to the impeller of said cooling fan. 
     
     
         3 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , the at least one suction channel, the at least one exhaust channel and the cooling fan are arranged above a top wall of an oven cavity of the cooking oven. 
     
     
         4 . The cooling system according to  claim 3 , said first inlet being a lower inlet. 
     
     
         5 . The cooling system according to  claim 4 , wherein the cooling fan includes an upper inlet for sucking air from a space above the top wall of the oven cavity in order to cool down components of the cooking oven inside said space. 
     
     
         6 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , wherein the inlet of the at least one suction channel and the outlet of the at least one exhaust channel are arranged at the same level along one line. 
     
     
         7 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , wherein the outlet of the at least one suction channel and the inlet of the at least one exhaust channel are arranged at different levels. 
     
     
         8 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one suction channel and/or the at least one exhaust channel extend(s) horizontally. 
     
     
         9 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , further comprising the oven door including said at least one suction hole and said at least one Venturi opening. 
     
     
         10 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one suction hole and the at least one Venturi opening are arranged in an upper portion of the oven door. 
     
     
         11 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , said at least one exhaust channel comprising a central exhaust channel, said at least one suction channel comprising two lateral suction channels, said at least one Venturi opening comprises a central Venturi opening and said at least one suction hole comprises two lateral suction holes. 
     
     
         12 . The cooling system according to  claim 11 , wherein the outlet of the central exhaust channel is connected to or corresponds with the central Venturi opening of the oven door, while the inlets of the lateral suction channels are connected to or corresponds with the lateral suction holes. 
     
     
         13 . The cooling system according to  claim 1 , said at least one suction channel comprising a central suction channel, and said at least one exhaust channel comprising two lateral exhaust channels, said at least one suction hold comprising a central suction hole and said at least one Venturi opening comprising two lateral Venturi openings. 
     
     
         14 . The cooling system according to  claim 13 , wherein the inlet of the central suction channel is connected to or corresponds with the central suction hole of the oven door, while the outlets of the lateral exhaust channels are connected to or correspond with the lateral Venturi openings. 
     
     
         15 . A cooking oven comprising an oven door and the cooling system according to  claim 1 . 
     
     
         16 . A cooling system for an oven door of a cooking oven having a cooking cavity comprising:
 a cooling fan having a first inlet and an outlet;   a first suction channel whose outlet is connected to the first inlet of the cooling fan;   a first exhaust channel whose inlet is connected to the outlet of the cooling fan;   each of the first suction channel, the first exhaust channel and the cooling fan being disposed above a top wall of the cooking cavity;   a cooling air flow path extending upwardly within said door, said air flow path being in fluid communication with a first suction hole in an inner side of the oven door and with a first Venturi opening in a top side of the oven door;   an inlet of the first suction channel being arranged above the top wall of the cooking cavity and being aligned and in fluid communication with said first suction hole in the inner side of the door when the door is closed, and an outlet of the first exhaust channel also being arranged above the top wall of the cooking cavity and being arranged to direct a flow of exhaust air past the first Venturi opening when the door is closed;   wherein in operation a first portion of cooling air flowing upward through said cooling air flow path in said oven door is drawn directly by said cooling fan, via said first suction hole and through said first suction channel, and a second portion of said cooling air is drawn through said first Venturi opening and into an ambient environment via a Venturi effect generated by exhaust air exiting the outlet of said first exhaust channel passing over said first Venturi opening.   
     
     
         17 . The cooling system according to  claim 16 , further comprising a second suction channel whose outlet is connected to said first inlet of the cooling fan and whose inlet is arranged above the top wall of said cooking cavity; said door comprising a second suction hole in said inner side of said oven door in fluid communication with said air flow path, said second suction hole and the inlet of said second suction channel being aligned and in fluid communication with one another when the door is closed, wherein in operation a third portion of said cooling air is drawn directly by said cooling fan, via said second suction hole and through said second suction channel; the inlets of said first and second suction channels and the outlet of said first exhaust channel all being arranged linearly at the same level. 
     
     
         18 . The cooling system according to  claim 17 , said cooling fan being a centrifugal fan, the first inlet of said cooling fan being located at a bottom side thereof and a second inlet of said cooling fan being located at a top side thereof; said outlets of said first and second suction channels being connected to said first inlet of said cooling fan, the second inlet of said cooling fan being adapted to suck air from a space above the top wall of the oven cavity to cool electronic components located in said space simultaneously with drawing said cooling air flow through said door via said first and second suction channels in operation. 
     
     
         19 . The cooling system according to  claim 16 , further comprising a second exhaust channel whose inlet is connected to said outlet of the cooling fan and whose outlet is arranged above the top wall of said cooking cavity; the outlet of said second exhaust channel further being arranged to direct a flow of exhaust air past a second Venturi opening in communication with said air flow path, and in said top side of said oven door, when the door is closed; wherein in operation a third portion of said cooling air is drawn through said second Venturi opening and into the ambient environment by a Venturi effect generated by exhaust air exiting the outlet of said second exhaust channel passing over said second Venturi opening, the inlet of said first suction channel and the outlets of said first and second exhaust channels all being arranged linearly at the same level.
